I pre-ordered the ZT 0561 Since I can't find/get a Hinderer I guess this'll have to do.

From the way it looks I would have guessed Lion Steel, with the LEGAL spidy hole.

Hey Skunk, soon (August I think), and a little too much, around $300 retail ($400 MSRP).

Its actually made by Lion Steel in Italy for Spyderco. I got to handle both this and the SR-1 at Blade, both really nice knives, very similar.

I prefer the spyderhole to the thumbstud, and I want the Elmax steel that this is going to be made in. I suspect the steel is the main reason its $50 more than the cheapest SR-1.

Scales are going to be G10 on the front and titanium on the lock side.

What do you mean the hole is legal? No thumb studs where you live?

I have been up 24 hours and my brain isn't working all that fast. I meant to say LICENSED Spidy hole. I REALLY like that knife. Would you like a good fixed blade when you get one of these?

Oh and I much prefer the spider hold over studs. I even like the disc on top of the blade ala emersons better than the thumb studs.

To me, studs and discs just get in the way of cutting through something. Now the hole on the other hand, nothing sticking out from the blade and it will slice on through for it's entire length.

Ah, you really need to get more sleep, its important you know

A year ago I would have felt really awkward paying this amount of money for a knife, especially a folder, but I really want this one, so I'll let myself splurge a little.

Lion Steel had a prototype with OD green G10, too bad production is going to be black, but Gianni was talking to me about making scales you could buy in different colors, something I hope will happen.

You might even be able to get one from a custom handle maker.

Anyway, good night all. Peace and rest and all that.
