My two favorite folders at the moment are my ZT 0550 and 0560 and likely will be until I get my XM-18 from Hinderer when he starts the next run of the 3.5" version in a couple of months. I'm getting a spanto flipper, but have yet to decide on G-10 color yet. I have a feeling that I'll still love and use the ZTs once I get the XM-18; they really are THAT good. if you want an XM-18, but aren't a FR or can't cough up the money, or want a REALLY good tactical folder, the ZT 05X0s are top notch and I recommend them completely.

I wish I could post a video of the action on each. The 0550 flies open like an assisted opener and the 0560 flips as well as an XM-18.

Since I got the 05X0s, I have been wanting more and more folders (all I need is another addiction!) So I have plans to buy a few more in the near future. So far this is my list, excluding the aforementioned XM-18, which is a done deal):
-Spyderco Sage 2
-Spyderco Techno (such a cool looking little knife!)
-Spyderco Manbug (just for fun)
-Bradley Alias I
And maybe a LionSpy
I'm hoping this will satiate my folder cravings for a while. I contemplated a sebbie, but decided against it being that I'll have the Sage 2 & Alias. I'll likely get one somewhere down the road.

I agree, I absolutely love flippers!! I thought that I would like the 0560 so much better than the 0550 for this reason, but I actually like them equally. The deployment of the 0550 feels almost like that of my 0350. I've been carrying the 0550 more than the 0560 lately, because it fits exactly where I want it in my pocket.

As far as losing pocket knives, I think the way you carry it and the design of the pocket clip are very important. Since I live in Boston, I carry my folders concealed in the pocket in the same direction as it would be if I was using the pocket clip.

How do tou like the Techno? Thanks for the comparison shot, by the way. It helps me picture the size of the Techno, which is probably going to be the next folder I purchase along with the Sage 2.

I bought a delica Wave a long time ago. I actually liked it a lot, although I could never get used to the look. I would definitely recommend it as a great sub-$100 folder though.

I ended up giving it to my best friend who was somewhat new to knives. I also recommended that he get a ZT 0350 because he was looking for a knife to replace his broken Kershaw assisted opener (can't remember which model he had, but it was old and cheap.) That started a chain reaction. He bought another 0350, 2 0560s, 2 0550s, an 0300, and a sage 2. He ended up giving me his extra 0350 and 0550.

The wave feature is definitely cool, but takes a little while to get right.

So in answer to this question, maybe one of the Spyderco knives with the wave feature should be your next folder purchase.

Anyone score one of those Kershaw Cryo's yet?
I was looking at the Cryo recently. It looks pretty great for a knife that only costs like $45. I have not gotten one, but might eventually just to try it out and compare it to the Hinderer ZTs.

GunDog, the Kershaw Cryo might be a good folder to get, as well. It's another KAI/Hinderer collaboration, but with cheaper materials and speed safe.
