i've been considering pulling the trigger on a strider smf lately. i only have one other knife in that price range, and you know its a bussekin.
idk, i'm still on the fence.

I have a question too- anyone have the new Benchmade Flipper? Think the model is the 300...looks cool, but I wonder about the handle comfort?

the 300sn flipper looks great, but it might be a little underwhelming with 3" of blade. if it was 3.5" i'd be a lot more interested.

It's a lot of knife in a very compact package. The flipper action is excellent, and that's from someone who had gotten away from flippers and frame locks in favor of the Para2 hole and compression lock. Working on scale out of that burlap micarta you see under there. After I do that, I'm going to do a little write up over on BF. I'll tell you this, this bad boy makes a mean curly stick and is actually fairly comfortable in a tight grip.

This Sydie looks good, pity I'll never get it in here... Customs would pounce on it like hounds...

How do you think it stacks up against the ZT and Para2? Look forward to reading the write up!

Compact but not small, it feels nicer than the para 2 and doesn't seem to have as wide a pocket profile. I think it compares closer to a Hinderer than a para or ZT as far as feel in hand. Yeah, it is worth $200+

you get quite a bit more blade than the para 2. the southard is also a smaller package. i don't know a lot about the cts-204p steel, but i hear it's similar to m390. havent had much cut time with it yet, so we shall see. there are a few things i'm not crazy about in regard to design but all around its a winner, the fit and finish is fantastic ![[Linked Image from cryptomnesia.net]](http://www.cryptomnesia.net/visual/knives/southardpara2.jpg)

I dont know if its a phase or what but I am growing to dislike flipers on my EDC it always seems to catch my hand when I go for my house keys. I am in no way putting down any knife with a fliper as there are many I would like to own the southard included.
