oh ya, I prefer my folders to have a spydie hole or a flipper, and I prefer an integral Reeve lock. Money aside, I would probably be using some hinderers, but until finances blossom, its spyderco / ZT for me.

and I haven't lost a folder yet. Just misplaced them from time to time. Currently my spyderco cts-xhp millie is misplaced <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Boy did the price of those shoot up!

I sold most of my folders and kept a few select ones. The other day I found myself looking at folders again.......it is like anything else take time away from something and it will be an interest again at some point

i select all my knives based on role also. i've been getting more liberal (haha!) with my spending in recent years because for me it's quality over quantity. i'm much more interested in having a practical arsenal of tools than collecting. i'm also interested in trying out a variety of steels. so if something doesn't suit me, i sell them off and recoup the cash and wait for the next big thing. if a blade doesn't jump out at me for whatever reason, chances are i will pass.

I picked up a benchmade nitrous blitz plain edge blade a few weeks ago. I really like it. A thinner blade and scale than my other benchmades. Its very light. You almost forget its there .
It came very sharp and its 154 cm. My other 154cm blades usually hold an edge for a while.
So far so good.

I had a dream last night about the 0777 knife. I've been sitting on this 0777 savings for way too long. (I preordered in June 2011!)

ok, I had another dream about this 0777 knife. It's as though I don't even care about the 0300 that's on its way! (but I DO care about it, it's a user already, which means NO REASON FOR ME NOT TO USE IT!
All too often I buy a knife and don't use it because I don't want to devalue it. What a friggin shame! I love buying users. Because then I have no problem using the crap outta them Even though when I get done using it, it really shows, and gets devalued anyways. For example, I was using my user hrlm with a hammer to the spine to remove plugs from 110v and 220v wire for recycling. Not the best tool, but the one I had on hand. Neeedless to say, left some marks on the HRLM coating

just got a used 0300 I ordered about a week ago. wow this thing is a tank for sure! so big and slow on the draw but I'm not carrying knives for defense, it's my sharpened prybar urban survival knife. not sure I like the partially serrated part (ZT serrations are so hard to sharpen!) It will hold me over until my 0777 order comes up (if it comes up!)
