Scrap Yard Knives has grown well beyond our expectations. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> This growth has led us to make a very big change in our lives. Patti and I are packing up our family and moving our business to Ohio! Making monthly trips to the dumpster in Wauseon is wearing thin and getting the opportunity to be closer to the rest of our family is very exciting.

Keeping the "price to performance ratio" as the cornerstone of our philosophy is paramount and this move to Ohio will insure that it remains at the helm of our business model. We will be able to greatly increase our production and this move will give us around the clock access to the dumpster! We have numerous Scrap Yard irons in the fire at this time and we need to be closer to the shop in Ohio in order to best facilitate this growth.

So, please be patient while we relocate to the other side of the country, (the cold side) and know that this move will mean more blades and better service from the Yard.

Moving Tip:

Moving to Ohio! I feel a shift in the Earth's gravitational field!! That's a bunch of steel in one place, hell, that's a bunch of Busse in one place!!!! That shift seems to be pulling a flood of JWB towards the swamps of Ohio!!!

Miss the heat! Fat chance. Give me Arizona dry heat over Ohio's muggy dank wet summer heat any day of the week. Twice on Sundays.

There are sort of compensations. Fireflies and thunderstorms give a nice show. But the heat? It makes you long for winter. Until Winter makes you long for summer.

Dan is sacrificing a lot to give us better price to performance knives by moving close to the source.

Sounds like a good business decision, Dan. If Jerry's pile of steel is too heavy to move to Texas, move to the steel pile! With all the loss of manufacturing jobs in Ohio, I am so happy for your American family's business success. More production means more knives for us and even more success for you.
