So did I, however I had a weak moment and sold it... actually not really, I needed the cash for the DFLE and I wasn't crazy about the color combo I picked.

You need to pick up another one, silverbullets. AFAIC, the RMD is a Swamp Rat classic.
I know, like I said as much as I love my DFLE I kick myself for selling that one, moreover when I first ordered the thing I ordered the muddy version, then before Eric shipped it I decided I wanted the green/black G10. I would have never sold her if I hadn't made that decission, oh well, live and learn, at least it looks like I will get the chance to redeem myself as long as I am in the right place at the right time.

This thread hasn't been updated in a while; at 9PM on 3/22, Eric Posted the following update over on Rat Chat:

We are still tweaking the prototype and when it is ready to show we'll post pics. I was hoping it would be ready last week but we are making another change. Thanks for your patience, it's not a folder but it is sure a sweet knife, and the price is just right

I don't spend any time on the Rat forum. Those of you who do please continue to keep this updated. I haven't purchased a Swamp Rat knife. I was hoping for a folder but I still may be interested depending on what Eric offers.

Sounds pretty sweet. G10 is a very nice handle material for a smaller knife.
For big ones I am all about the S7 and RES C but for a smaller blade SR101 and G10 especially black g10 have some advantages. I believe .170 is nice and thin?
If it is a G10 SR101 satin version of the YKCG I am so there. I am willing to give up some toughness for edge retention in a small knife and RES C is not as attractive as G10 and you don't need the shock absorption qualities as much either.

I don't really get the love for the Rat Trap. It is really just a Bladetech folder with SwampRat "Branding". Don't get me wrong it is a great folder but it does not have the things that make the Busse knives special(other than resale value )
like the awesome tool steel and wicked heat treat. I would be happier with the BladeTech Rijbak.
