I like it better than the skellies some folks like. I think my hand might actually fit that handle. I would prefer a 4" blade, but 3.5" is close enough. And 154CM is a fine steel for a small knife, IMO.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Design-wise, I like that it appears to have a full size choil and less belly than the HRLM. It's not the Bandicoot LM I keep asking about but it looks good.

I think the tip to G10 will be around 4" on that little knife.. On my monitor the photo appears as 8.25" long; I think the blade length may relate to the cutting edge.
What a great little knife though!

This is some exciting news. I bet there will be more knives coming from Busse Group in this steel and others. This is a very good-looking knife to me. Some of us coastal folks have been asking for a good stainless knife. I was thinking Dan would be first on this, but either way, its good to know the Busses are listening to the customers. I like this knife! ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SRKW/HairyCarry.jpg)

My question is, how is Jerry's heat treat is going to affect it. Has he turned ordinary 154CM into something as special as the rest of his alloys or is it just ordinary 154CM with a Swamp Rat logo stamped on it? Given that Eric didn't post any disclaimer about having an alternative warranty on this blade, I can only believe that they expect it to hold up to their standards!
JYD#10 Blade '08 - I challenge coined Dan Busse and WON! Blade '10 - The score is now 2-0!

i really like the design of the knife, but wish that it was an inch to two inches longer.
i know, i know, they already have the hrlm and rmd, but i'm not partial to a sub 4" fixed blade.
to each their own... sitting this one out*
*but may regret it later

I like it better than the skellies some folks like. I think my hand might actually fit that handle. I would prefer a 4" blade, but 3.5" is close enough. And 154CM is a fine steel for a small knife, IMO. I generally prefer a 4.0" blade over a 3.5" blade. But, I have tons of great 4.0" blades and I do find a good 3.5" blade to be very nice and quite handy at times. This design looks like a winner to me. I don't want to rule out skellies forever. Someday maybe I might find one I can live with. But, so far, none have done it for me and I have sold all I have tried. 154CM should be more than fine for this knife. I am pretty confident Jerry will have found a way to get more out of 154CM than almost anybody and most likely better than anybody else. 154CM was already a good steel for many smaller blades (IMO). .
