I'm not sure Dan is that worried about selling knives. Since I joined the forum in October 2007 everything Dan has offered (except the Yard Hook) has sold out in 72 hours or less. The last three releases all sold out in under an hour with a lot of dogs (hogs and rats) disappointed they didn't get one. I think Dan is more worried about getting more knives to the market than what to get to the market.

I've been in sales and worked off a commission my entire adult life. Considering Dan's knives sell themselves I need to send him a resume and see if he needs a good salesman

Quite true jackell, but how many of those releases were for something completely different from previous knives other than finishes?

Nothing so far in '08 IIRC.

I'm looking forward to the "bright" future Dan referred to.

Apprentice, since I joined in October 2007 I've purchased two scrap yard knives form the Yard and three from other Dogs. There is really nothing else in the current Yard line up I want (a back-up DFCG would be nice but only at yard prices. Actually a Dogfather with LE specs and a CG finish would be even better ). So I'm with you and the other Dogs.....bring on something new. An S7 with a 7.5" blade would be GREAT.

I still talk to a lot of people who'd like to get their hands on current models. Based on how Scrap Yard Knives sell....from a marketing stand point it is just as important (if not more so) to get more knives produced as it is to get new knives into production.

I'll buy precisely one DF, of any kind, if I'm lucky enough to not be in the field , training and hopelessly away from a computer when they come back out.

Only one, because I'm not coordinated enough to use one in both hands.
