they dont have internet/e-mail set up yet.i also dont see a phone number for them yet either and if you read everything on the scrapyard home page it says that if you ever call busse combat in regards to scrapyard knives they will never sell to you again, their words not mine.

i'm not implying you plan on calling busse but knowing their in the same place now and not being able to get a hold of scrapyard it could be a logical idea.i'd would be dumb enough to do it if i never read that part.

as frusterating as i know it can be have faith that you will be taken care of.

you will be taken care of.

Thanks, but you have seen the ones that didn't quite come out right, too. These flat ground mutts are easy to do. I may get a better sander soon. Good thing I had a bunch of cheap machetes to practice on. It does require a fair amount of concentration to get it right. If I had to do this all day every day, fatique would surely make some of the grinds off a bit.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

The practice shows though Vic. I do recall some earlier trial & error attempts. I can think of my first tries as well with my funky multi bevel Dog Father!

Looking at the consistency & how even the new grind height is, I can't help but be impressed.

The final polish was with a worn 15 micron belt. Sometimes I go down to 9 microns. I took the "cheek" off with a 120 grit, then went to 80 micron, then to 15 micron for the finish. I did not use a polishing compound at all, but did a final strop by hand on leather.
