You'll be amazed at how quickly people will forget our conversation, Recon. Just keep showing up with more SUPPORTABLE answers than questions or unsupported opinions and you'll soon gain a reputation and respect as being someone in the know. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> (The key word here is "supportable". You'll notice that most of the time I state something to be a fact, I document my source.)

roger that man. hey quick question, what did you say was the kind of oil to put on your DMDC ? i just got mine in the mail and their are some blotchy spots on it so i was going to oil it.

That's true, but it's a very capable "small" knife. As I wrote in the combat knife comparison, a Mutt should handle just about anything that the S6 would, but in a more compact package. 1/2-inch difference in the grip doesn't seem like a lot, but it feels a lot different, with the S6 being more comfortable (to me anyway). However, while the S6 is by no means huge, it's big enough that I believe it would tend to catch on more and be less easy to carry. Either the S6 or the Mutt can fill the combat knife niche (which in modern use is more tool than weapon) admirably; which one you choose is a matter of preference -- comfort vs compact.
