Albion swords are top notch there among the best sword makers on the planet.
I agree. But their swords are a wee bit out of my price range. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Albion Swords Web Site

They have the squire line as well. Great swords made like the old ones but in the $300 price range. They are meant for contact sparring but can also be sharpened. I have seen one and it is beautiful!

Here is my Albion Gotland in an Oak sheath I made for it.
I also made the Stainless Steel mail shirt it's lying on.

I have not been to active in the last couple of years (moved and building a new house) but I have been in the SCA for 20 years doing heavy weapons. The shirt thats pictured I fight in. It weighs ~26lbs and is made out of 41,000 1/4" Stainless Steel Split Rings. Took somewhere around 225-250 hrs to complete.

The sword I practice cutting with and It cuts really nice <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Wow, I was thinking it had to take a ton of time to make. I have a friend that's really into Ren Fairs and stuff, and he always wanted to make one, but never did.
