Well, I've narrowed it down to 2 designs. Something like what bladz did above but with a Leatherface style belt loop for vertical or horizontal carry and a diagonal thumbstrap, or something very similar to Vic's Bear Grylls sheath.

If I can make it dark, I can make it light. I am Crazy Dog.

Here is one I just finished for my DMDC. Not beautiful, but very functional and solid. The only tools I use are a box cutter, hand drill, 2 needles and a cheap snap tool I got at WalMart. I color the edge with shoe polish. It's fun if nothing else. I do want to get some fancy stuff from Rainwalker some day though. I think this is my 4th or 5th sheath. I get scraps of dyed leather at a local leather shop. Based on the time it takes me to make these ugly ones, the beauty and craftmanship such as that produced by pros like Rainwalker is worth every penny.

Welcome to the Yard, Bladz.

That's a very well made looking sheath. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
