I am always in the urban setting. With school, riding my bike, running around town, going out, etc, I'm never out of the city it seems...(as unfortunate as that is, its true)

About the only time I get the chance to actually get out of the city is when I am on my bike and we head up to the mountain and ride twisties. That aside, I never leave the urban jungle. I always try to maintain a certain EDC rig with me while in the city. I have tossed around countless knives, looking for the perfect blade to carry with me that just rides like its not there, but can stand up to any task I will throw at it. For the longest time, I packed a Spyderco and a Benchmade here and there.. Both solid companies for what they make, IMO.

Then.

I found Busse Combat. I have since purchased 2 Scotch Dispensers and have been carrying them everywhere. In Tennessee, the legal limit for carry is under 4inches. This is where the SD shines. Its legal, its light, its built like a tank, and best of all, its INFI. As I have posted in other threads, Rainwalker set me up with an unbelievable method of carry with a black leather sheath. Since I have gotten it, it honestly hasnt left my hip. No matter what Im doing, I have it on me. The other SD is hanging out in the safe with my other pieces of SR101 and SR77. I have to keep my knives in the safe because I really dont have the chance to get out and cut like you guys do. (i wish i did:()

So, what is your EDC/urban rig?

mine is:
-Busse Scotch Dispenser
-Surefire e2d defender
-cell phone
-keys
-Glock 26 (when I am not at school)

lets hear what you guys are carrying. Pictures are great as some of you are fantastic with the camera!

Speaking of pics how about a pic of the Rainwalker rig for the SD? How concealable is it?

I should have added my EDC is a CRKT Kit Carson Clone M16 Surefire Z2 combat light, and cell phone. I always separate my keys. If I am forced to turn over my vehicle, I don't also want to hand over my house keys, especially the ones to my gun safe.

Mostly a model 23 Glock in belt slide Done Hume holster, spare magazine, Surefire Centurion C2, a Bussekin fixed blade, a Spyderco folder and a traditional slipjoint usually (SAK, Case, Queen, US Schrade). Keys, Blackberry (for work) and a lighter.

An alternative setup just replaces the Glock with a Kimber or Springfield 1911, usually in a Galco Fletch style holster.

Here is an under the shirt view of my primary side with the Glock setup.

Nice topic.

I to sadly spend much of my time in the city. Chicago that is. So urban carry is something I spend a lot of time working on.

My edc gear:

Small Slip joint in my front right pocket. Why? In case I need to cut something in front of the sheeple. A stockman or a barlow. Case, Moremaker, schrade...maybe a boker..

Flashlight. A small Romisen from e-pay. Nice and bright plus cheap which is good cause I tend to lose and or drop and destroy things. A spare Battery in my change pocket.

Small fixed IWB. Nothing more than 9" overall. My Busse Leaner meaner Street or a Koster K-tusk or a Busse Heavy Duty varient, or a Simmonich Urban raven...you get the picture. I use a leather "around the belt" strap of my own creation that makes it easy to take it on and off in case I need to make myself more sheeple friendly.

My cell of course.

That's what I have on me.

My Bug Out Bag on the other hand. That's a whole different story. In there I have enough steel and gear to survive just about anything. No gun though. Here in IL carrying guns is outlawed....consequently only outlaws carry guns.... There is a way around it though. It is legal to transport a gun from place to place as long as it is in a case and unloaded. So in a zipper pocket of a backpack with the loaded clip riding next to it is legal. Not that a cop would believe you...it's like they say...you'll beat the rap...but not the ride...

I think I'll take some pics of my gear later and post them...

Oh ya. A multitool on my belt. Right now it's a Gerber recoil. Sometimes it's a Wave...Very useful.

Pitman....Wow!....Never go into the city. I wish I could say that

City EDC is a Glock 36, Gerber EZ Out, which is a 3 1/2 inch folder, Surefire E2E and a small Fox pepper spray.

On the rare occasion concealment isn't an issue, which is almost never, a Glock 21SF, Scrapper 6 and a Surefire 6P LED.
