yeah... when I start driving it's be cool to have some tools and knives and stuff in the car too.
and of course I might pcik up a fenix.

Texas is amazingly liberal about such laws. Once can carry up to a 5 inch blade. It is also a "shall issue" state so getting a concealed carry permit is very simple. Too simple in fact! There are too many people with licenses who don't know one end of their gun from another. Scarry!

That's true here too.

True here in NY as well. Common sense is a thing of the past. It should follow that if you are permitted for concealed carry of a firearm, a knife should also be allowed. Just one more rung on the force continum before handgun. We all know that is not the case.

or even something like a baton. I think the best thing less than the pistol is the chemicals. I'd really like to have an CO2 powered OC pistol. You could make it so small, nice and flat, and a lot more powerful and aimable than a normal pepperspray can. Then you could make a duckfoot model. But I'd have mine set up slightly radial off parallel with about 5 jets. 1 at point of aim, the others slightly to the sides with 2 above and 2 below, kind of like a GSSF Glock-M pattern. It would be even cooler if you could load something like a magazine with more CO2 and spray. But I think posture, awareness, and forceful vocals are most useful defense. A few times people have thought about messing with me but when they saw how aware of them and assertive I was they went away. If they didn't respond to that immediately the pistol would have came out.

I carry my endura wave 24/7 but I'd hate to have to use it defensively... If I could get one in yellow like the salt series i probably would so there would be no way anybody could insinuate that it was concealed.

I had to go into the 'hood today to get some things. I carried my Al Mar SERE in my pocket, along with a Kel-Tec .380. My DFLE and Kimber .45 would be better, but they don't fit in my pockets.

I like to read the gun mags and dream about what I would carry if we had CCW's here. I like that new mini Walther. a 8 shot 9mm the size of the PPK.
I also share a similar taste as Leatherface ,we like the nifty eastern block pocket autos like the Makarovs. I probably would not bother with a handgun n my person though. Something in the truck would be fine. I would probably do better with a knife ayway because I have practised a lot more with one.


The problem of carrying big heavy usually long weapons and gear has been a problem for as long as their has been blades. In both ancient Japan and England people were always tripping over their swords or getting them stuck when they desperately needed them. I have known people who had their pistol tucked in their pants and dropped it in the toilet. I pocked a hole in the beautiful Honda racing seats of my Mom's Civic SIR with the end of my CRKT First strike handle while it was on my belt. Every year hunters lean their shotties against a fance and climb over and mange to shoot themselves. The Strider neck knife I had around my neck fell out of the sheath and on to the floor with a huge noise in line at the grocery store making me look like a maniac.

So far there has been no definitive answer to a way to carry a knife or gun particularly a large one comfortably. Pretty much any belt carry does not work in a car. Bud Nealy and others have tried to find solutions but if you can figure out a really good one you will make some serious cash. I would be first in line.

I pretty much gave up and carry my knives in or strapped to a backpack and a very small neck knife on my person.
