D***, now that really sucks. I hope you find it. I really like the DMs and hate for anyone to lose such a sweet knife.
I lost my RTAK but that wasn't such a big deal. If I lost a DM I would be screaming at the top of my lungs and jumping everywhere on the forest madly searching for it.

Not a fan, I think with some good use once the paint was marked up they would look ugly as he!!.
I prefer just a bright coloured handle or paracord

I put fluorescent yellow duct tape and glow in the dark paint on some of my camera gear.
Visibility is a good thing.

I like the idea, I think the color needs some work. Too close to some fall colors. The color I find that stands out the best are certain shades of blue. Not too many blue items in the woods.

Perfect color HD. What is the hole in the blade for? "Eye of the Condor" trademark. Sort of like the Busse talon hole. You can hang the blade on a nail with it, I guess.
