I'm still resisting; the Sage/Black micartas sold out quickly. I still saw Black/Black micarta appear (for a short time) this morning at the BCS, but it's been several hours since I've seen one drop. All that's left are the Black/Black & Tan G10s (which I think look best, although they're priced $40 higher than micarta). The ASH design doesn't even appeal to me much, yet I can't stop checking on them.

Who's ordered a Skinny ASH since they went up last night, and why? I know that new stuff will be released for Blade, and hopefully some scraps will will be available online, so I'm holding out (but just barely).

I've been checking a lot too, but only in case the SAR4 shows up. I really like the blades but between my hellrazor and proxy SJTAC I really don't think the skinny ASH has anything to offer. It is sweet though. If I didn't have any INFI yet, I might jump on the thin stock/flat spine.

I'd be a lot more likely to go for one if they had some combo that didn't have black. Then I'd probably only be able to hold out for a few days. I think my all-time favorite color combo is the desert olive w/ OD&tan G10 from that ganzaa.

Jim, I got a Skinny ASH to go with my Fat ASH. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I got mine for obvious reasons... to make pants. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I kinda like the Fat ASH with standard handles, and I'm really interested in seeing how the Skinny with Mags feels, in comparison.

I was able to resist until this morning myself, but then it got the best of me and I talked myself into it by saying I'd regret it if I didn't go ahead now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

the grip looks almost exactly like a mag hellrazor, except for the lower talon.

I wasn't jumping up and down happy with the Fat ASH-1 but when I got my LE I found out what it was about!! Couldn't resist another Anorexic ASH-1! Black w/ Black & Tan Mag G-10. Hey rainwalker, what about a black leather dangler for the ASH-1 and black SAK Tinker pouch?

They're either all sold, or in people's carts now.

Got my Fat ASH and was pleased.

Got my ASH LE and was ecstatic!

Saw the Skinny ASH and could not pass on it... Black/Black inbound. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I saw a post on BladeForums that more skinnies went up. I checked, and Sage is sold out, but the others are in stock. I've spent my limit (at least for the first half of the month) on BADs and a 32Gig flash drive. I don't remember nearly as much new stuff at the company store this close to Blade last year; does it seem unusual to anyone else?

Black/Black micarta went out of stock as I was composing -- it's just the Black & Tan G-10s left.

I snagged a black/black to my basket, however after considering it I threw it back.

Who knows what blade will have and the $430 on a Skinny ASH (knife, sheath & shipping/tax/duties) may be better spent elsewhere! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I was surprised to find that my first Busse Black/Tan was really Black/White too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

My Skinny ASH arrived today. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Excellent blade and the micarta mags feel great.

If I had to rank my ASHs in order of which I would take hiking as my primary medium sized blade it would go #1 LE, #2 Skinny, #3 CG.

I suppose that the beer reference is better for marketing, but they're pretty much black and grayish-to-bright white -- Personally, I like the contrast of that G-10 handle combination a lot though. I don't think it looks bad with a tan sheath, although if you really hate it, you might be able to trade for a different sheath -- possibly even exchange it with Skunk if you haven't put any wear on it yet. Also, I've never tried, but can G-10's color be chemically altered (dyed)?

Congrats on the Black & Tan. I got my Black & Black, Saturday. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I really like the contrast between my Fat Black & Black ASH and my skinny ASH. It's kinda like a diet commercial... before... after... before... after. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm pretty sure that G-10 is something that would have to be pigmented when it is first made.
