I am excited about this knife and hope for a good price, but I selected the price I thought it would be priced at($99.95 - $109.94). It in no way reflects what I think it is worth or what I would pay for the knife.

i don't wanna send a message that i think it would be dishonest or unethical for Dan to charge $100 if he knew the knife would sell at that price. business is about profit, and every company's goal is to maximize revenues and minimize costs.

i'd mark it up. the blame falls on us, not him. that's what happened to swamp rat.

And thats why you see more manufacturing moving overseas to maximize revenue and minimize cost......

Dan has more integrity than that...

It's also goes without saying that he has to stay in business and must price accordingly. To date the pricing for the product is more than resonable......

what bld was saying (correct me if I'm wrong) is that if Dan released a knife that was similar to the Hairy Carry, at a cheaper price, he would be undercutting Swamp Rat and would steal their profits. The Mud Puppy and the Hairy Carry are so similar, and have the same steel, there is little reason to buy the HC instead of the MP.

In any case, I'm hoping that if Horn Dog gets one, he'll do a review with it matched up against the Mora, Street Scrapper, and any other small knives he has. In general, I'm hoping people buy this knife as a user. Heck, its not like its all that purty anyway
