I put $400 because the question left some grey area and I am honest. Of all my edged possessions, my Ruck is probably my favorite with my AK definitely in a very close 2nd. They cost me $7XX and $8XX and I would have liked them cheaper but I am ok with that. If they ever get sold, it will be after I am dead. As far as balance is concerned, I definitely agree with Ted, but I think it is a lot more important in sword-on-sword combat. I wouldn't go for Res-C in a fighting sword without a pommel or counterbalance of some kind.

I would definitely go for something in the AK/Ruck range in SR-77, but if they released a bastard sword around 42"-44" I would definitely be in $600+. I didn't vote that though because I don't think they'd ever do it and it isn't similar to the pic.

A machete works just fine for chopping and stuff and you can buy a Frost of sweden instead of a SS4 for example. But thats no FUN!!!! Machetes are not as fun as a sword <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Has anyone tryed cut logs with a katana? Are they tough enough?

Seen the HI Tarwar and I like it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Iīll pay what I think itīs worth.
I would like a Busse AK but for me itīs not worth $800. But $800 isnīt the limit, if you know what I mean. Itīs alot of money but considering how much I will use the knife/sword or whatever year after year, itīs not that expensive. Yeah, Iīm stupid <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

This design would make an awesome addition to the SYK series!

I have actually been interested in the Cold Steel Moro Barong on a few occassions, but never picked up one or handled it. I like the design too.

That one with wood handle and wood scabbard usually sells for over $100.

For around $20, you can get the back coated version with plastic handle.

Like most swords, I reserve my opinions a little without having handled it though.

Agreed KG; but the design does hold great promise as a powerful chopper, especially if it were used in conjunction with SYKs' steel, handles, and desire for a nuclear blast survivability! LOL!

Steel: O1 ground, not forged

Blade length: 14-1/4"

Total length: 20 3/8"

Blade thickness: 1/4"

Handle material: black canvas micarta

Beautiful, Ted. It looks a little like my Kris Cutlery Celtic Sword. I just LOVE leaf blades. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Yup, but it's a micarta handle. I also love leaf blades

I gotta admit, it looks great. But I still think I'd rather see something like the Barong, simply for the chopping strength it promises. I'd still buy one of that sword of yours though, ted.
