well i got my KIFARU ZULU pack,KIFARU E&E pack and a nice little assault pack from CSM GEAR.

here's the CSM GEAR pack first.

[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

great little pack that i got to replace my old camelbak H.A.W.G.
my only complaint is it doesnt have a sternum strap but i can take care of that.
CSM makes incredible gear,a lot of it "one of a kind" and it is all hand made in house with 1000D CORDURA.

now the kifaru E&E pack.

this kifaru stuff is all its cracked up to be and more.i will try and do it justice with words but it wont happen.

here you can see the back pocket/slot where the shoulder straps can be stored.
[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

this is a little pouch that hangs from the top of the pack on the inside.i think all their packs come with it,both of mine did.it is great for keeping my car keys in when i use it as a day pack around town and too work which this thing is a dream come true for.it detaches very easily for removal and i can buy bigger ones also.its called a chamber pocket.

[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

now here is the bigger ZULU pack which the E&E pack can attach to easily with the "dock'n lock" system.the ZULU is 2,800 cu in but can be extended to much more than that and can also be sized down quite a bit also.

i put a ASH-1 in the pick for size ref.

[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

here it is all scrunched up compact.
[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

here it is stretched out a bit and with a tent underneath.i could stretch all this out a lot more if need be
[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

from where the knife is on up is all extra that tucks back in when not needed.this pack can grow 1/3 of its original size.
[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

here's a handy little strap that runs over the top for extra containment protection and extra compression capabilities.

[img]http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee295/dave9431/image9-9.jpg[/img]

where you see the knife handles protruding are 3 separate pocket/slots that are perfect for water bladders and have plastic "D" rings to hang bladders or gear from.they run the whole length of the pack all the way to the bottom.
[img]http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee295/dave9431/image15-3.jpg[/img]

here's a pic of the inside and you can see how the "chamber pocket" hangs

these are 2 pics of the E&E pack piggy backed to the ZULU.

[img]http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee295/dave9431/image14-4.jpg[/img]

here is a pic of it on me for size referance.i am 5-9,170.the E&E pack is hooked up a little low in the pic.with the "dock'n lock" system it take 5 seconds to connect or disconnect one pack from the other.

last is a pic of these packs togethe plus one of my other favorites.

i forgot a pic of the back of the zulu.
[Linked Image from i234.photobucket.com]

the pack doesnt come with a waist belt.it has to be bought separately.you can choose between padded or unpadded,MOLLE/PALS webbing or not and their "POWER PULL" system

their "power pull" system is incredible and enables you to get the belt really tight very easily.i think it would be stupid to get a pack this big without a belt and i would recommend the padded over the unpadded.

they told me delivery would be 4-6 weeks and i think i got it in 5-6 weeks.

i have a new addiction...KIFARU GEAR.i will be giving them every dollar i dont spend at BLADE and then some.

my ZULU pack along with many others of the ones they make are so versatile.

within a few months i will show you new pics of the same pack and you wont even recognize it with the selection of add-ons that are availible.its like you can double or triple the size of any of their packs if need be with the right add-ons.

go to their web-site and look at the stuff they have.i dont have the time or room to do it here.you'll be their 2 hrs before you see it all

Awesome, my next pack might be the Kifaru X-ray. Right now, I'm really happy with my battlelab, but may pick up the belt soon.

In the third picture from the bottom, is the spec-ops attached only via the belt loop, or is there a strap that goes through the webbing for extra security?

the belt loop is really just 2 molle straps that go through the webbing and that is all that their is.i wish their was one towards the bottom of the sheath just to keep the bottom from floating arond or bouncing up and down.

do yourself a favor and get a kifaru pack MRpink when the time is right.i will be getting another one this summer with out a doubt, not to mention the hundreds i still plan on dumping into extras for this pack i got now.

Nice backpacks, N1.

What's the total weight with the E&E pack?

Very nice packs. I have been admiring them from afar, for awhile, now.
It makes a diference knowing someone who actually has them, as they are not exactly cheap. From your pictures and description, it sounds like a lot of attention to detail went into them.
I like how the E&E can attach to the larger pack.

nice pack. I have ben looking for a nicer bag to carry the camp gear, my busse knives a couple other brands and my fire steels. I always bring more than I need when camping.

dont know,i didnt weigh it.as much as any other pack its size i'd imagine.

while it is expensive it really isnt compared to the competition.if you look at prices from other companies with a reputation for good packs kifaru's prices are good.dony forget that the other companies also mass produce their gear and kifaru is all done one at a time and custom.think of the others like kershaw knives and kifaru like busse combat, they have the same warranty as busse too and everything is made in the USA.

the zulu was around $270 and the E&E pack around $80.

if you go to their web-site dont just look at the packs.read all the material their is on that site.they have info ranging from topics on their gear to hunting tips since the owner is an avid elk hunter and all types of good stuff along with their own kifaru forum.

it would take 2 hours to see that whole site.good stuff.
