Ban guns, people will use knives. Ban knives, people will use clubs, ban clubs and people will use bombs. Ban bombs, and....oh wait they are already illegal. Hmmm.... this banning thing ain't working to well.

The point of bans like this is not to stop crime but to show the average voter/Potter fan that they are "doing something". Things that actually do work at solving crime like Harm reduction programs or youth programs are controversial ,expensive or both while a ban is no more expensive than the paper it is written on.

I have an idea for a UK legal tactical folder actually.

People need to understand that some crime is one of the prices we pay for living in a free society. When you start doing things like random searches you are no longer in a free society.

PC is just fascism for pussies!

Unsub, you are certainly right with the comments you make in the first paragraph.

"I have an idea for a UK legal tactical folder actually" That would be interesting, under the 'Offensive Weapons Act' anything carried that is 'intended' (kitchen knife on the streets on a Saturday night), 'adapted' (sharpened steel comb) or 'made' (dagger) to cause injury is illegal; so a legal tactical folder would be a great trick! (More details please!! Not intended as a flame!)

Para 3&4 ditto good points!

Actually, that law makes sense.

After all, under (p)resident clintooooon, we had 10 years of no bayo lugs on our so-called "semi-automatic assault weapons".

During those 10 years, did anyone ever hear of a drive-by bayonetting?

I bet if they passed a law against people holding their breath under water until they died, there'd be less drownings too!

And yes - that's all sarcasm.
