I have been looking at these 2 knives for my 1st purchases of infi... I wanted to get the Yard's take on these. Not really an either/or question, just want to know if anyone owns or has handled them and how they like the feel. I am looking for smaller edc knives.

hey man, i have 3 scotch dispensers. one of my favorite knives i have. i think it makes a great EDC. however, some dont like it because of the ring hole grip. its all in preference. i love the grip personally, others dont. the sus is a nice blade and i want to get one soon. however, i think the blade shape limits you to certain things with the sus. i think for an EDC piece, the SD is much better of the 2. both are great pieces.
the SD was my first piece of INFI too

I hope nobody get's offended by this but I seriously think the Busse clan were a little over-watered with the scotch when they came up with these two blades ! To me they are about as ugly as a knife can get and I'd be embarrased to get them out where others could see !!! They are both made of INFI though so I have no doubts that either blade will serve you well for the rest of your life......but [censored] they are ugly !!!!

I too found neither the Scotch Dispenser nor the Sus Scrofa appealing. If the SD were closer to a classic ring knife with the ring at the rear I might have considered it.
As it is there are lots of alternative small Busse blades that I like better like the ADs (the Boney ADs especially) or the Game Wardens over either of your two choices. Skeleton knife choices would include the skeleton wardens and the swamp wardens.
If the Sus Scrofa had been designed with a straight Wharncliff style blade I would have bought several. Just don't like the curved blade that much I guess.
The bottom line is that it doesn't matter what we think. It's what you think that matters

I kind of liked the sus scrofa. I almost pulled the trigger on the LE edition one, half a dozen times during late night computer viewing times.

I never thought I would care for either knife, and then I received the Scotch Dispenser. I am very pleased with the knife - thin, easy to conceal, and INFI! I am really glad I have it now. The Sus Scrofa just does not appeal to me. Of course, Jerry Busse said bad things about the SARS5, but I really like it.

Sorry, the dispenser didn't convince me, sure people like it but I couldn't get into this design.

To each their own - there are some EXPENSIVE Busse blades that don't appeal to me either!
