A question: the Swisstools I've seen all have non-pointy knife blades. Do they make Swisstools with pointy knife blades?

Yes. The SwissTool has two spearpoint blades. One is serrated and one is plain edged. If you have never handled a Victorinox multi-tool you really should pick one up. Their workmanship and quality control is unequaled in the multi-tool world. The fit & finish on their tools is beautiful! I love how all of the tools lock and can be used without first opening the tool up.

I also have Leatherman and SOG multi-tools. They both make nice multi-tools, but in my opinion they do not equal the Victorinox pieces..
