I'm going to have to say 154CM because I won't be able to afford the next offering and won't mind missing out if it is !!! ban him.

true! but I don't see that coming from Dan very often, because I would think it would be expensive to do. unfortunatley.

Hahaha I'm not one to say "I told you so" but these we my complaints about the switch to 154 all along. I'm glad I'm back in the mainstream again. If the HC's start selling for sweet prices online, I could be convinced, but probably not.
So, people have bought MPLE's right? lets put the speculation to rest with a good test of that knife. Except, who among us is willing to potentially de-tip their brand new knife? its under warranty, but still, i probably wouldn't volunteer.
Have you hugged your camp knife today?

.... Their warranty is solid, but these stainless Scrappers and Rats are for cutting, not prying. I think the qualities of edge holding and corrosion resistance are what these knives are about. So I would not recommend heavy prying or extreme hard use with them. But it is always comforting to know that the famous Busse warranty is still there if we need it. I hope Dan continues to release both the stainless and tool steel models so we can choose those models that suit our needs and intended uses.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Stainless is great for skinning animals, and other food preparation chores. I think having options is fine, so long as we accept the limitations of the 154CM models. We use stainless folders all the time and some of us pay quite a bit for them. No folder is as strong as a fixed blade in the same or similar steel. We don't usually pry with them.

i voted 154cm......for the neck knife I know INFI is more expensive, but I've worn a Bad Warden for a year as a necker with no rust issues. I'd pay a little more for an INFI SYKCO necker. I know 154cm would make it more affordable but INFI would make it better and that's what counts when you really need a blade to do whatever you need it to do. Just my 2 cents...

I'd also be perfectly happy with a coated SR77 necker too.
