again,i dont have time to read through all your posts but i want to chime in quickly.
i found out about the deal from justin at the show and at first i was worried myself.
the way he put it to me is like this......
all that is happening is that ontario is taking over his production work.all his current production pieces being the RD line, little bird, shank, shiv, entry tool,rd-hawk,TFI,afghan will be made by them to the same specs as justin has been doing with the same steel.
i talked to justin quite a bit and to the ontario guys also and the really good thing is that a whole bunch of new stuff will be coming out soon with more to follow down the pipeline.
their will be recurved versions of the entire RD line called the nighthawk ot nightstalker or something like that.their will be a little bird with a glass breaker,a new entry tool that i got a sneak peak at a proto that is very cool and a firemans absolute dream come true.i wanted to become a fireman just to have an excuse to use it.it is by far the most inovative firemans entry tool yet. thair will be a new rd-hawk without the spike on the back.some neck knives and some other stuff i forgot.
i'm looking forward to the new designs down the road in the next few years and i'm looking forward to the minor imperfections in the knives from being done by hand to improve with ontarios machining capabilities.
ontario will also take over all ranger knives merchandising and the ranger knives web site.
i will miss being able to call justin on the phone for a quick and simple order.i guess i'll just have to order a custom which i dont do much.
i'm happy for justin.he deserves it and i am happy for ontario because like horn dog i want to see american knife companies srtive, especially after the camillus thing.
trust me when i say that this is going to be way bigger of a thing than the RAT line up ever was.their is going to be way more models.
i think this will be the biggest thing to happen to ontario in a long, long time and cant wait to see how it all works out

I hope that they will not start making 3/16 thick rangers..... The Rangers will still be built to Justin's specs. My first Ranger was unbelievably crude. Like some home made beast. Look at all the tool marks in the blade. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/RANGER/OldRD7001-2.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/RANGER/OldRD7003-2.jpg)
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I hate to bring up an old post/topic but i think this mite intrest some. If been thinking about getting a Ranger LB for sometime now. So I desided on doing a little searching around to try and get the best price possible. Thats when i stumbled upon this site: http://www.armorysupply.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=48801&lastcatid=192&step=4Now i noticed that there was a drop down menu with diffrent options. Now one could have a glassbreaker added or have there LB cord wraped. I think this is a cool idea. Ive always wanted a glassbreaker on one of my knives for emergencys. Since there wasnt a picture up of what the new LB looks like i started up a topic about it over at the knife forums in the Ranger knives section. Justin quickly responded and even posted up a pic. ![[Linked Image from i27.photobucket.com]](http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c193/deftonesfan25/littlebird.jpg) So what do you guys think?

I am going to lock this thread, as it has nothing to do with Bussekin products. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
