The S7 at Blade this year (there was also a S9) was not as "tall" as the Chopweiler or the Camp Tramp.

The model S7 felt more like a fighting knife as it was pretty light. I doubt it would be my first pick to chop but would baton well and would be very easy to carry.

A Scrap Yard version of the Camp Tramp...hmmmm...would that be called...
the "Scamp Tramp"???

Why not " Scrap Tramp " ? it may have no sense, but sounds good....

Slightly thicker than the camp tramp will be better.

How about a 1/4" thick SR77 Sarsquatch style blade with no swedge and a Res C handle? And he already has sheaths to fit it.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I think I'd prefer it in 3/16" same as the SARSquatch !!!

It may just be an optical illusion, but it seems to me the way the blade goes into the ricasso has changed on the S7 & S9 compared to the S6.. There doesn't seem to be a smooth transition- it seems it just has a step! (Look at the shadows on the knives). Will this create an angle that will concentrate lateral stress when butchering Jeeps? Will the choil have a pointy bit to stick in your hand? Will this new grind be a bit cheaper for us poorer dogs?

Great minds (and me..) are wondering!
