I like kydex and nylon. But the feel and looks of leather is nice too.

I like both, depending on the application. Concealing is a little easier with Kydex, generally speaking, but leather looks a whole lot nicer.

But most of you already knew that.

I absolutely love a nice comfortable leather sheath whenever possible and although they take more time and effort to make, it's just hard to beat the look and feel of fine leather, for Scrappers or any other blades.

I must admit that sometimes Kydex does work better though. I wear a Necker in kydex, and as much as I sweat, leather just wouldn't work out as well. I carry other small fixed blades in kydex from time to time.

On bigger blades I almost always prefer leather. Some would say that leather is harder to maintain but if cared for properly, it's not a big deal. Adding a kydex lining is a good way to combine some of the qualities of both too.

All in all both have their place for sure though.

EH, those sheaths look great! The tape should help.

Thanks again for the positive feedback. And yes, the tape did help and the
second sheath fits perfectly without grabbing the blade too much.
I used the first one for my DMDC as the blade seemed a little thinner and it works just fine. Al in all I have enjoyed working with the Kydex and will definately try to hone my skills at it.

I agree with Vance. Depends on the blade. I have leather and kydex on different blades. My working knives, like my fillet knife or skinning knife, gotta have kydex. Just easier to clean, less worry.
