I have been patient. Blade was over two weeks ago. I know some of you dogs picked up a Busse Sarsquatch or two. So why haven't I seen it compared to the awesome Chopweiler yet? Are you afraid to scratch the paint? If I don't see some sarsquatch action soon, I'm going to get one and do it myself!
Might as well include the Camp Tramp. Stay tuned.

I have thown down the gauntlet here, over at Rat Chat, and on Busse forums. Does a 60 year old man have to do this important work himself? I gots to know. My chopweiler has defeated all comers in the 7"-8" chopper world. Its victims include the Becker BK-7, Ranger RD7, Ontario RAT-7, British MOD 4, and Entrek Destroyer. But a Busse Sarsquatch? Inquiring minds want to know!

I don't own either (regrettably) but I handled both at Blade, and I lust after them both. They seemed like very different knives to me, the balance is... different. The Chopweiler feels more like a fighter (it's a bit more "pokey"), the Sarsquatch feels more like a chopper/utility knife.(it's slightly more blade-heavy) If you have a chance, I say get a Sarsquatch NOW. Because I doubt they will go into regular production (unfortunately), and they are basically rehandled SFNOs. And we all know how rabid folks are about SFNOs. Expect Sarsquatches to fetch similar prices, and soon. The sharks are already circling on the BF exchange.
Oh, how I wish I had picked up a Sarsquatch at Blade. I scored a Jackhammer instead, and don't regret that- but I wish I had gotten both! As it stands now, the Sarsquatch looks to be more collectible- which is a shame, because they scream to be beaten on. Unfortunately, I bet many of them are destined to languish in safes.

Thanks for your impressions, Moon, and welcome to the yard. A fellow dog who lives in The Great White North is sending me a Sarsquatch. It may take a while to get here. I wasn't planning on getting any more Busses, but that one just looks like my kind of knife. You can be sure mine will see some backyard action against the Chopweiler. I'll probably strip it and convex the edge. Safe Queens really aren't my thing.

The test won't be over until it includes a Camp Tramp.
Looks like you've got some serious knife buying to do, Vic. Yes. I'll have to sell off some of my less beat up ones. I've been looking for a CT for a fair price. I'm not paying Busse Combat prices for a Rat, though. Dan could make this so much easier on me if he'd just do a medium chopper!

HD,
I thought for sure you had one of each already, lol I also would like to see a comparison. I almost got a Camp Tramp last year, but then the Ratweiler Chopper came out and I got it instead. It is the successor to the CT, but there are some who still think the Tramp is a better chopper. I doubt it, but there is only one way to really know .

Safe Queens really aren't my thing. You're my hero. I'm trying to get one, but to import knives from US make them cost 1,5 times than there ( + about $ 30 shipping and + 30 % customs .... ) But I'm waiting for a CT, it's already travelling, when it will arrive I'll test it for sure !! ( it costed about $ 345 )
