Did you ever resolve your folder dilemma?

Have a full sized presidio coming...probably Monday...that was an oopps though. I generally don't like big folders and I got confused with all the models benchmade has! I think I can see a mini-griptilian in my future. I like the modified drop point and 154 cm better than the mini-presidio...although I like the blade thickness on the mini-presidio more! It might be a case of buying both! Their prices are pretty sweet!
The full size one is from the exchange- I'll check it out and if it's too big, see if i can work a trade. although that one has a modified drop as well which looks cool...

 This knife buying (addiction) is a lot of work! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ha ha haaa!

I know we were talking about the the other day. I said I have both size grips. They are the modified sheepsfoot ones. I LIKE THEM. But my favorite is the mini. It is just a great all around carry everywhere use for anything size blade. MINE is 440c steel. BM has got the Heat Treat right on this steel. It'll sharpen up relatively easy on a diamond hone and stays sharp pretty good as well. The full size grip, for me, is a knife that is looking for a use. I got it just because I wanted both sizes. I have 3 other blades like that, just because I wanted both sizes because there were two.
I actually have a threefer. CRKT Crawford Kasper folding fighter, large and small PLUS my wife bought me the fixed blade version! Nice handling, nice feeling blades. and they ARE made for self defense. MIGHT be available on the secondary market and they are nice blades as well, but been out of production (I think) for several years.

If we were to be honest with ourselves, how many of us DO NOT really need a fighting knife. I honestly don't think that I do, but I like the way many of them look.

RandyYou are welcome.
You are correct that is the full size version.
I also really have no need for a fighting knife, however I do like the looks of some of them.

Randy, a friend of mine gave me one of those Crawford Kasper knives you're speaking of. It's the one with aluminum scales. I actually forgot all about it until just now.
Yote, I used to have one of those Applagate/Fairbairn Combat Folders but I sold it to another friend of mine at work. He just uses it to cut apples up with it. It's a BIG folder!

Spidy, I thought about that one but went with the one with the plastic scales. The metal handles just usually turn out to be to slick for my liking.
