He's not mine, but I wish he was.

excuse my disgustingness. He had been dragging me around all day and he is STRONG. the breeder had the most jacked dogs I'd ever seen. and they were all great with kids.
his name is Jackson and he's about 95 pounds, all head. (he's really fit for an indoor dog)

Great dogs guys!

I've had some great dogs/fiends over the years, and some that I really really miss...

I don't have any dogs at the moment, the last one I had, left quite a scar on my heart when it passed. Just haven't been able to bring myself to get another one since. Maybe someday the right one will come along...

I know what you're saying Jeff. I hope you do!

We just bought this little fella for my daughter, her 8th birthday. His name is Maxy & he is a Toy Poodle. You wanna see her face when they met, priceless!

Very cool American Bulldog

Is he pure Johnson, or a hybrid of Johnson & Scott AB's?

ummm...
johnson?
scott?
there are more than thosae two no?
I'm not sure.
Jamie Long (no longer a breeder) didn't really call his dogs either.
I forget what he called them but he didn't really like to call them by any line.

I'll have to look into it but unfortunetly his website is gone.
it'll probably be hard to get any info but I'll try.

From the look of him I would say a hybrid, with mainly Johnson lines. Either way, he's a rip-snorta(gem)

Yes there is, but these two are the main lines.

Scott is also called performance type. Smaller built, about the same size as a PitBull.

Johnson is more Bulldog looking, taller & stockier. Like a Bull Mastiff in size.

Dave Putnam's "The Working American Bulldog" is a must read for all AB's lovers. There might be other good books out now, been a while since I looked.

yeah, I remember reading all these different ldines on some breeders sites, and on his site, he didn't call them either.

this breeder had the most built dogs I'd ever seen.
he started getting into some more exotic breeds too.
he just had got a 195 lb Tosa inu (I believe) and planned on breeding them.
he was an ewx cop.
def. had some good dogs.
Jacksons mom was smaller, (about 75lb) and his dad was about 100lbs and had taken several large boar at 10 months old. (leads me to believe he is kind of "johsnon and scott cross")

he looks alot like his dad.
I'll def. look into that book too.
thanks.

Sarge our GSD, he turned turned 11 in May and we've had him since he was 6 weeks old.

Bear a Heinze 57 that we rescued about 13 years ago, vet figured at the time she was about 14 months old.

Thanks, sometimes I think that they know what we are going to tell them before we say it.
Sarge has slowed down alot, he used to clear our 6ft high fence without a problem.
They both are totally devoted to my daughters, who love them dearly
