Dogs, kids with fur I once read.
They ask so little and give so much...one heartbreaking tombstone in the pet cemetery read.
No matter how you slice it Dogs are a part of your family and when one crosses over it leaves a scar in your heart that can bring tears years after they are gone.
Faithful, loving, comforting, strengthening, giving, understanding and never judge mental. They will always love you and be willing to sacrifice themselves for their master. With so many attributes it is no wonder why I have been a dog owner all my life.
I haven't known life without a dog,I am not willing to give it a try.
The companionship and respect a dog gives you always makes you feel better after a bad day. When sick they lay against you as if trying to use empathy to heal you. What joy they bring when playing and walking with you,I can never do without.
Here are my current dogs. Mike is a Chihuahua,Dachshund,Pekingese mix, and Max is a Black Labrador Retriever. Both are wonderful kids. Max is now just a year and Mike is five. They fight well and play hard together, but love each other dearly.
Baby Max revisited...
Mike and his first brother...Buddy. Buddy was a rescued dog from a very abusive background. He was the most gentle, kindest, loving dog we have known.
He died at home during a dream. We will miss him every day.
That is a Picnic table at the State Park that he is peeking over. He was a H U G E Rotty. Gentle as a lamb to us and aggressive and very vocal to any strangers! The perfect dog.
Peace.
