Well that does seem to be the trend around here for new releases. Why should a sword be any different.

Now this is a discussion! Classical swordsmanship teaches to cut down an opponent with one or two moves, usually a parry followed by a killing cut, or a wounding cut followed by a killing cut,or a one move killing blow as you stated. Also, don't forget, the power of a deceptive strike followed by an immediate killing slash.

Raising the enemy's guard is always better. Since your opponent most likely will know many of the basics and advances that you know, making them expect something is much better than making them relaxed, that way you know exactly what they're gonna do.
A quick slash down carried (they raise their sword parallel to the ground, and you know they gonna block it that way) followed by a sudden moving up their safe side (handle facing, which most likely means their right or your left) and slashing at their belly with your sword close to your body and letting your own movement and the length of the sword cut.

If there was no way to avoid it, I would like my sword fight to go like this (me: guy on left)

This is exactly how it should look. Sharp's DK-47 concept wins round 1 I LIKE IT! Something at least the AK47 size would be cool! This thread is such a tease! I really thought that Dan is coming out with a sword in SR77.

*Indiana Jones Theme Song* and for the heck of it I'll repost my concept. I'm gonna redraw it with a longer handle and blade. Maybe ditch the spanto (that I love so much).
