I doubt that there'll be another civilian run of Yard Guards/Hooks, although that's purely speculation on my part. I got the impression that they did didn't sell particularly well and that the (non-hook) Yard Guard model sold better than the Hooks.
I don't think that the problem was as the design as the timing -- Swamp Rat had been pushing their Mini-Mojo and Mini Uncle Mojo models for quite a while, including EH3 military overruns, immediately before the Scrap Yard Guards/Hooks were released. I think that most people who wanted a knife in that size and style already had Rats (at least that was the case for me). Eventually, I picked up one of the initial release Yard Hooks in the secondary market, and I got a Tan one at the last Knob Creek. There's no telling what you'll find at one of knife shows, but if you aren't able to make one of them (and show up early when you do, because I recall they put out less than 5 Hooks at Knob Creek on Friday -- first come, first served -- within two hours, there were almost no non-custom knives left), then I'd suggest the secondary market.

Welcome to the yard.
I doubt there will be another run of it. I consider hooks to be the perfect knife for a soldier of survival. The tan military overrun was my first scrapper.

Any recommendations ? Welcome to the Yard, adamlau. So you found a Yard Hook already? Congrats. The standard SYKCO 6" Cordura sheath will fit it. It fits a lot of 6" to 7" blade knives. On mine, I notched out the liner for the blade catch so it would seat better. They are available at the Scrap Yard store. Or you can have a custom leather or kydex sheath made for it by leatherface, rainwalker, or some of the other sheath makers here on the forum.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Sorry Rainwalker, but you just made too cool of a sheath for me. ![[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]](http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee292/The_Aaij_1/DSC_0008-3.jpg) Since then, I never go on the trail without my FBM in or on my pack.
