I picked up a Mudpuppy, an HCSE and an HCLE and with the pants from Okuden and Buy Brown I'll be able to keep one with me any time. Dan didn't have any thing to prove to me but I sure feel better about any chore I might have in mind for these blades. Now let's go cut something!

Yes, also to the effort you're putting into working out the communication kinks.

After seeing those pics, I am quite certain that little knife would do all I could ever ask of it. That said, it's still a little small for my personal tastes, but that has absolutely NOTHING to do with quality! I simply like larger blades!

The only thing I ask of our customers is to be treated fairly. I ask that we be given a first look at any damaged knives that the Yard puts out in order to assess what may have gone wrong BEFORE you post pics and cause numerous orders to be canceled.

Dan,
If this testing information had been posted BEFORE the knives went on sale I doubt you would have any canceled orders. Folks had lots of questions about the durability of Busse 154CM before the knives were available. When there is little real information in the market and the first available testing information has an unexpectedly poor result, people will tend to assume the worst. I'm afraid that's just human nature.

I'm a marketer by profession and I market the new technology first and THEN the products that use the new technology. If the customer believes in the new technology then it's an easy leap to believe in the products that are based on the technology.

And thanks Dan for providing the great testing info. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

wow kraz, i didn't know you were a marketer. i just took my marketing final and i had no idea what the average per capita cost of advertising was. he never said that in class. advanced accounting final is on monday, then i'm done. couple weeks for a research project, then graduation on the 15th.

anyway, i took the mud puppy back to the garage and raised the tension on the belt for a flatter bevel this time. came out pretty nice. plenty sharp, but it looks more like a factory edge.

Thanks so much for taking your time and energies to abuse those blades Dan. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Looks like those "Puppies" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> are plenty tough! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> Although I've been totally happy with mine and have given them no special treatment and they've done just fine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I haven't had any need to take them to those extremes though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Now I bet the guys who still don't have one are starving for one real bad now!

Time for a feeding frenzy!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Drop that bowl Dan!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
