WOW excellent job Gideon!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
It should look wonderful in that Rainwalker sheath. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Also, Unsub, crazy work on that Mirror Finish. I'm not sure how well it will look after a good work out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Great job. I strop the same way you do, I can't hold an accurate angle with the strop on the bench, so I have the strop in one hand and the knife in the other.

Thanks guys , a mirror finish does get messed up but then every once in a while you just polish it back to good again. A nice mirror polish is also the best finish to protect against rust.
You can also use your knife to see around corners.

Great post!! What are the dimensions of that sanding block? I'm having trouble finding one that big.

Great post!! What are the dimensions of that sanding block? I'm having trouble finding one that big. I will check it when I get home, but I got it at Home Depot. There were 2 sizes and I chose the large one. I think for touch ups I will get the smaller one to fit in my backpack more easily.

nice work! I totally copied your pattern for a proteus-style Bugout bag, and I may have to steal this idea from you as well
Have you hugged your camp knife today?

But fingerprints are a constant pain in the butt. I was taking some photos of some new arrivals today and was using the SH-E as a size comparison with the Barker bowie and [censored] were those fingerprints hard to get off completely.

Well, the edge on the ASH is coming along nicely. ![[Linked Image from overlandrover.net]](http://www.overlandrover.net/Mac01/IMG_8215.jpg) ![[Linked Image from overlandrover.net]](http://www.overlandrover.net/Mac01/IMG_8230.jpg) ![[Linked Image from overlandrover.net]](http://www.overlandrover.net/Mac01/IMG_8231.jpg) Some green compound on the strop and it should be good for the hike tomorrow.
