So, as some of you already know, I only became a SYK fan in about the past 6 months. Upon falling in love with them, I managed to very shortly get the DFLE, DMLE, and the SS4. Since I was out of country, I had them sent to me overseas in Afcrackistan. These are the few pics I managed to take of them. If I had had the time, I would've taken off my tac vest and armour, put them in the background, with a mag on. But all my mags had live rounds and it was a "big no-no" to have mags-on in the living area of the camp unless absolutely necessary.

I want to thank the guys who helped me get these great knives (You know who you are), and thank Dan for creating a line of knives I'm proud to wear while serving or just back home in the woods cutting trail and hunting game. I look forward to getting many more from the Busse family, I just have to save up and do it slowly. LOL!

Thanks, but I figure I better clarify, I'm back in Canada now. That's how I was finally able to get the pics to load up. The [censored] firewall they were using overseas wouldn't let me access photobucket or any of those types of sites to link these pics, so now that I'm back I can share them with you. I'm glad you guys like them. I was really hoping to have a Crash Axe in that pic before I came back, but my luck wasn't running quite that good.

thanks for the pictures bro, and thanks for the service, be safe over there. So what do other guys in your unit think of the steel?

Well, the SS4 was the first to arrive, and a lot of guys Ooohed and Aaahed, and commented how it was a nice knife they'd like to have as an EDC.

Then, about 2 months later (Really horrible delay with the post office), the DFLE and DMLE showed up. I opened the box and pulled out the DMLE first, and the guys were around to check out what I had gotten. A few were anxious to check it out, and test the edge, and really liking it as a larger version of my SS4 I had started wearing all the time. Some guys wear trying to compare it to their Cold Steel SRK they'd bought from the store on camp. *SIGH*

While this was happening, my female Sargeant and Warrant officer (That's our next rank up from sargeant) came in to see what all the fuss was about. Now the Sarge is a pretty hard core chick, good with everything that is army, except she had this utter terror of knives. She saw the DMLE, and kind of backed away a little, but the Warrant was right in there, checking it out, joking he could use it to shave his head from now on.

Then, I decided to haul out the DogFatherLE... Well, it was shipped in the cardboard sheath, and when I reached in and grabbed the handle, the sheath must have stuck on some tape or something, cause it stayed in the box. So my hand comes out of the box, holding this huge freaking blade, bare and in their faces! One of the guys shouts two words, and "mother" was one of them! LOL!

The Warrant, who's just staring at this thing, all of a sudden staggers forward, almost drunkenly. He starts to turn around, and has to do a fast bend and retrieval of the Sarge, who has apparently fainted from the sight of the DFLE! I couldn't help but laugh! Everyone was just silent, looking at it for a few seconds more, and helping settle the Sarge into one of the chairs, and then one of the guys mutters," I guess you CAN bring a knife to a gun fight!" That broke it right there, and we all started having a hoot! They all wanted to check it out, feeling the weight of it, swinging it a couple times against some junk wood that was in the compound. Every one of them was amazed at the edge of it. Sadly, I couldn't make it my EDC, due to its size and the Kydex sheath that came with it was poorly designed for wearing while in my gear or on rucksack. Which reminds me, I've got to get some pants made for it.
