I liked your post Steelfan. It was your comments that gave me the idea for this thread so I was looking forward t5o you weighing in.

For the Spyderco Mule knife they limited the purchase to 2 to credit card and address. There were still lots of unhappy people and prices for a friend in the UK who bought one was still close to triple retail.

Jerry Busse started off selling at knife shows near military bases and knives were often much cheaper for military personnel.

They have stayed committed to providing military units all over the world with the best possible knives.
Here is one of the rarest Swamprats ever. There are only 6 in existence because SwampRat did a special run for a unit of Canadian Combat Engineers.

The owner of this knife ,Darrin is a great guy and did a really nice write up of this knife which Putfile erased. The gist of it was Darrin and 2 CER-23 ,Field Squadron wrote a letter to swamprat and swamprat hooked them up. 2 CER-23 was happy.

I try to give serving military guys good deals when I can.

Here is a tip for sending a Canadian soldier in Afghanistan something.
When I sent Tygers knife I sent it to Petawawaw military base and then they sent it to Khanadahar. What I should have done is put on the package Khandahar via Petawawaw because Canada post would ship it free then. It is probably not a big deal though even if it is a big Sargent scaring Rambo knife.

Does anyone else think a Bussekin military knife thread is a good idea?

That's not too surprising! The majority of high performance carbs are made in Japan.

Mine has fuel injection. I didn't say American-made. The pistons are German. The forks and shocks are Japanese, as are most of the electronics. But the Harley is the iconic American motorcycle.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If you found the last bikes a little to wild this one has the same old school style but in a more familiar form. It looks good with the apes.

I have mixed feelings about the secondary market. Several times I have bought extra knives, just to sell them to fellow Dogs AT COST, because they might not be around for Dan's posting. I really appreciate Dan giving the Yard advance notice so that we have a better chance of getting a knife before they show up on other forums or Ebay at exagerrated prices. I get a little frustrated doing this sometimes when I see how SOME guys are making a nice little profit while I am making 0. However, I believe that the guys getting the knives from me genuinely appreciate it - that's why I still do it. My choice I guess.

Thats why you are Junk Yard Dog #1. You have a great attitude and care for the group. I frequent the Blade exhange quite a bit and the guys that are just flipping knives stand out like a sore thumb and I dont deal with them. The problem is that someone almost always gives them their price.

All the computers are made in china but 99% of the software and development is done in the US still.
I have total faith in Americans to innovate better than all the other countries in the world combined.

Thanks Chicken-plucker and Klink for not letting me derail this thread

When I sell on the secondary market I try to do deals where both people feel like they came out ahead. I have made several good friends from people I met when i sold them a Bussekin knife a couple have came here and become great contributing members. I also try to let people who have either bought a knife from me or even just asked some questions from the CGN forum know when the retail sales are.

My only complaint about the secondary market is I sometimes get tempted by things
I want but are not a smart buy. I came really close to a user FSH for 495$ even though I already have a SH-E.

HD, I was just kidding, and knew exactly what you meant.

Unsub, awesome bikes, very cafe racer like.

I've had a few people here offer me certain knives at cost! That's why I love it here, good people.
