I'm tempted by some of the offerings, but I already spent $500 on the secondary market today. I bought an "Embrace the Suck" SJTAC and an Ariel Elias Salaverria custom Nessmuk off the Forums of Ramanon (I need to drop the Money Order into the mail on the way home tonight).

The Competition finish SJTAC at the ganza is sweet, but I have a few Jack Hammers (I prefer that blade style) so decided to go for another ETS instead. The Swamp Rat HC Customs are also quite nice, but I've already got HCLEs, so I can resist them. That leaves the Shiva Rex, which is threatening to grow on me -- I may regret it later, but it doesn't have enough of a grip on me yet, so my plan is to stay away from the computer tonight.

I think that Shiva Rex would be like buying an Edsel or a Corvair years ago and keeping it. It would probably be valuable but [censored] it would still be ugly.Sorry just my .02.

It is butt ugly to me, CP. But Jerry says the CEs are ugly, and I like them. I'll be skipping the ganza tonight, even though I really like the Satin Jack CE. I'm waiting on some Scrappers!

not me.

no users except for the satin jack which i cant afford this week.

and while i would never use it which is while i'll never buy it that shiva is one interesting blade with an interesting story and past.

i'm glad jerry gave it the O.K. and garth had the mad skillz to make it work.i want to see one in real life.its hard to really sum it up with just one pic.

if i ever become a merc i will look for one on the exchange though.could appeal to mall ninjas but i'm not saying your a mall ninja if you buy one.

i'd actually buy it if i just had money to burn.it is cool and different

It looks strange to me, but you are right. It's hard to tell from one pic. If it were on a table and I could pick it up and handle it, I might see it differently. How many knives have you bought that looked good, but felt bad? The opposite is also true. I bought a Scrapper 6. It wasn't much to look at in the picture, but once I held it, I knew it was right for me.

You're right about those S6s -- they just feel natural, an extension of the arm. They aren't the best chopper, but as an "all around" knife they're hard to beat. I'd still choose a DM, or even better an SS4 as an EDC, but for hiking I'd choose an S6.

I'm sitting this one out also. While a couple of the offerings are tempting I'm going to wait and see what the Big Dog offers next. I'd hate it if he offered something we've been waiting on forever and I didn't have any money.

I've been checking page load times at BladeForums -- there doesn't seem to be much lag. The Epic Customganzaa doesn't appear to have the mass market appeal that most 'Ganzas do. Of course, recent economic times have been hard for a lot of folks, as evidenced by some pretty good deals in the secondary market lately. Also, and this is just me thinking I'm not too weird, I think there's a lot more demand for knives at CG prices than at custom ones, even when you're talking INFI.
