The most upscale machete I have is the trimmed down rehandled Ontario that BRKT did for Knives Ship Free. It is very nice, but so is a $6.00 Tramontina once you put a convex edge on it. Very few people would buy an expensive machete. But then, very few people buy Swamp Rats compared to well known retail brands.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Once upon a time Jerry made a custom, almost the way she wanted it, French Chef’s knife for Amy-O. It wasn’t quite the way she wanted it because Jerry didn’t have any INFI bar stock wide enough to exactly match what Amy wanted. If he can’t make a wide French knife, he can’t make a Kukri. Not without ordering an expensive special run of extra wide INFI bar stock. I’m sure that could be done technically. But it would make a Busse Kukri super expensive.

Aside from the bar stock issue it could be down to how big is the heat treatment oven? Although I have seen a post where the Custom Shop did a fairly huge Bolo/Sword...it is on here somewhere...so the Kukri may well be do-able...the price estimate quoted was $300 an inch and this was well over 10 inches...more like 15? Anyway the width of the stock used there would have enabled a kukri to be made. Also....unless they sent it off to be heat treated elsewhere as a one off...they have heat treatment facilities big enough as well.

I would look at Tora kuks as well. I have several and they're very solid. Where can I buy a Tora Khuk? I have heard alot of good things about them. I have a BAS Khuk from Bill Martino of HI and love it.

I sent you a PM Ban but it looks like Ted already helped you out. They are Busselike in their getting shipments and then selling out.
I love Buffalo horn as a material for handles. Like gods G10.

dont get me wrong.HI,ontarion, cold steel and others all make great khuks like they do knives...BUT...since i am a busse kin snob i want a BUSSE kin level of khuk.
i have the BR machete and i love it.i dont see why jerry woud never make a machete out of INFI.it wouldnt be much different from an AK.
it doesn have to be INFI either.i would love a khuk or bollo or machete from swamprat or the yard.
S7 would be perfect for those as far as performance concerning high shock and with availability and pricing and with the two companies dabbling in other steels lately and jerrys stock pile who knows what kind of steel options we could have.
theirs not much left on the busse kin check list.
