I'm here too......I've been absent lately, but it has nothing to do with the yard and since I've not managed to break any of my other numerous scrapyard knives yet.....I can wait for any new releases.

Life just has away of getting in the way of the things I'd rather be doing (at least for me, anyway).....only another 26 years till retirement.

I would be curious to know the number of posts that have been made this year by month. It seems like the forum is declining in activity recently. Hopefully a new release (or releases) will reinvigorate everyone. While I don't post a ton, I do read almost everything that is posted and this has been a fantastic forum. I have learned a tremendous amount and gained lots of new toys. There is much more of a sense of community here than any forum that I have been on...

I have only been here for a few months and feel that I can all of you friend. As far as the next release of knives go I will bet we all order what we can, then we will start posting about how long it will be before they arrive, and when we have those we will be wondering when the next release is. Its all fun or we woulndt be here. If we ever have a gettogether I will buy the 1st round.

I'm new here and I haven't seen a SY release but, like all Busse-kin blades, if you look and are willing to pay you can find what you want.

I've gotten 2 DCDMs and got beat on a few but if I made quicker decisions or wanted to pay a little more I would have had all I wanted.

This waiting seems to be the legacy of the Busse-kin blades.

We will always be waiting - it's just the length of one's patience vs. the desire to own a blade...

I think it's the "Amazon phenomenon".

You want to buy something. You log onto the internet, find the item you want, click "Purchase", and in 2-3 days it shows up at your front door.

I'm old enough to remember buying stuff from catalogs before the internet. Filling out an order form, mailing it in, waiting 6-8 weeks to get it, etc. The internet took all the latency out, and the expectation is now for instantaneous results.

People just need to slow down, take it easy, and it will come in good time. That having been said, I'm not the only one to notice that Busse has been cranking out steel left and right while the Yard and the Swamp have slowed to a trickle. But I'm not going to let it upset me.

Well it has been an informative day for me.....been doing a lot of sharpening on knives ready to do some tests and will do some posts in due course when I have some Dogs to throw in the mix. They are in the post at present.

I have been scanning the Busse site on Blade and the Exchange and discovered that Jerry's favourite Busse knife is......a Jackhammer! I was suprised at this....I did'nt recognise it at all from my mental recollection and later in the same thread someone posted a picture of the knife. Quite a formidable looking knife.....definately got my attention. Its looks sort of grow on you...

Anyway...was scanning the Exchange and lo and behold one was up for sale...a CE model with bare infi/black look and my type of green/black grips....instant Infi monkey on my back whispering in my ear....I decided it was "meant to be" and "scored" it. Not a knife for pulling out with "sheeple" about....very mean looking...but I love it.

Anyway...I am rambling...my point is ...we should ask Dan what his favourite knife is. If it has not already been done....

Jerry's choice suprised me...I figured it would have been the Steel Heart in one guise or another...probably going off the logo I guess...that and the price! HotRodKelly has a HOGFSHLE No1 up for sale at $2000!!!! I had to get a grip then....was thinking of selling some of my expensive knives....I reckon it would take 4 of these knives to get this sort of cash....and maybe have a piece of history? Got a grip of myself....found the Jackhammer and said to myself that "this makes more sense"!!

Which ofcourse it does'nt....unless you are a knife collector....!

Anyway...here is a picture of the knife....now at least I am good for a few more days...

Well said, Vic!

I'm here too and you guys are my friends, and that really means more than the steel in most ways! I know the steel will come, and heck knows I've got plenty of steel to play with while I wait!

I agree with both Vic and Jeff. I've belonged to a number of photography forums etc, and in all of those I found many big mouths and people screaming for attention. Here, however, I've found only nice folks wanting to share their love of blades and the outdoors. Nice bunch of people and I really enjoy visiting.

Thanks to Dan and the other big dogs here I have a SY knife and enjoy the knowledge that it is an excellent blade.

Enjoy the forum and the friends here, it is a rare pleasure in this rat race of a world we live in.

Regards,
Gideon

The Jack Hammer caught my eye, too. That knife just screams "fighter" to me. Congrats on the score.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
