All knife/customer issues aside, I love hanging out here! It's like a big family, no other forum watches out more for each other then the dogs. The fun will be starting soon, I remember before I joined, around Halloween, everyone was carving the SY logo on pumpkins, I told myself next year, almost here.

WOW!!! I haven't looked at this thread in a few days!!!

I'll have to admit that I too am growing a bit worried, and have wondered what's going on, it's been too long, however I love the Yard, and I love my Scrappers!

For now I'll continue to hope and have faith that Dan will come through for us.

Being very enthusiastic knife collectors and users (a nice way of saying that we're knife nuts! ), It's easy for us to get a little impatient when a company and blades that we love has an extended drought like this, and getting our questions answered seems difficult. Dan we love your blades and just can't get enough! We understand that your busy and that there's other priorities as well, but hey throw us a bone. Please. These poor dogs are starving for some steel! I for one am not going anywhere, however I'll have to admit that I've strayed and bought other blades. But If you'll BRING IT I'll buy it!

Geez guys, I just got here...I am still hoping to score a DFLE at the very least. I have been sculking around the yard for a couple of months...but didn't feel I had a right to say anything until I actually own one--now I want more...hopefully before my next outing in foreign lands.

Gambit, all good points you've made; most of which myself and others made over a month ago.

As stated in other threads, we can apreciate the fact that this is a business run by a family, for a family, to support a family. We can appreciate the fact that his first priority will always be his wife and kids, and I think everyone on here will state that this is the way it should be, and should never change.

What a lot of people are concerned about is the lack of clear communication from him in what he will be offering. We're not demanding that he give us something here and now, but we would appreciate a little more direct and dependable communication happening. One of the key things that drew me to this forum was the fact that the people who created the blades we all love, tended to take an active part in talking with us on our posts and threads; that seems to be declining, sadly. Hopefully, with the addition of another person to the crew, this will be on the rise again; I truly hope so.

Also, Gambit, with all respect, and I apologize if I'm stepping on the moderators toes here, this is a family oriented forum; please refrain from the expletives, as they are ennecessary between fellow dogs. Also, just a suggestion: keep the uppercase to a minimum, and use it only to emphasize particularly important points you wish to make. As my grandfather used to say," Those who always scream tend to become ignored. Those who whisper always find ears straining to hear what they have to say."

Just take it with a grain of salt, as the saying goes.

BTW, if I haven't already done so, welcome to the yard. It's a good place, many good people, and a well spring of available information and helping hands. Do with it what you will.

Hi there

Welcome to the forum. Just a quick note - On forums upper case is used to indicate screaming or talking loudly, so unless you mean to emphasize something, I would respectfully suggest to use lower case.

Again, welcome and enjoy the Yard, some great characters here.

I am hoping that the delays means Mr. Dumpster (I am still just a pup after all...respect must be infered ) has expanded his shop (they did just move didn't they? or are they still in He!! , I mean Texas, sorry to any Texans ). Maybe that means increased output once things get rolling ...I am still new, but Bussekin knifes seem to revolve aroung a few basic patterns with a myriand of variation. Maybe this means a NGRMDFLE (Nucler Gamma Radiated DogFather LE )...Think about it
