Personally, I wouldnt. I just like my Dogs and Rats to be made of what I believe to be the best steels on the market; SR77, SR101, and of course, the god of all steels, INFI.
Ever since I found Swamp Rat and Busse Combat and SYKC, I havent had the desire for any other manufacturers product... I think I am going crazy.

I've become a Bussekin fanatic as well, but I can still appreciate the blade designs available from other makers, like the Bark River Golok, the Muela small EDCs and Bolo, and the nice Spyderco and Byrd folders. I think having a diverse knowledge of the skills and qualities of the many good knifemakers out there, can make us appreciate Busse knives even more. Plus, its' fun to field test them against each other! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm personally sticking with INFI, SR101, S77 and 3V from now on. Maybe a folder in S90V, but that is about it.

Probably not, but it would depend a lot on the design. I typically think of 154CM as a "small blade" steel. As hard-use blade lengths increase, I think they're a better match for a high-carbon, non-stainless steel. I'm sure that Dan could make it work, but why pound that square peg into the round hole when you have a round peg in hand?
