Unsub, if we were doing firearms as well, I'd have to choose:
Marlin 336 30-30 ([censored] good all around rifle and caliber)
Stoeger P350 pump 12 Gauge with all chokes (Takes down Turkey, waterfowl and other small animals for stew)
and finally, it'd be a toss between either my Lee Enfield 303, with original iron sights, or my Browning A-bolt 30-06. Both are good dependable; I'd probably go with my 303 though.
I wouldn't choose a little .22 plinker for the simple fact that anything I'd shoot with that, I'd more than likely just trap for.

Implume you win the award for honesty. My version is quite similar with a few more EDC choices for when I want a strait blade with nice clothing or a curved blade. I would also need the same choices in more work clothes suited blades. I also have several knives with different methods of carry for EDC like the HCLE in a leather belt sheath ,the Mule in a neck rig and the Streetbeat with tekloc as well as some IWB or pocket clip options.
I can also tell that Implume lives on more than horsefeed and does some real cooking.
Vic that was a fantastic post. Nice blend of sarcasm with a bit of self depreciating humor. I guess in a capitalist country consumption is patriotic.
OK guys get serious and pick the 3 knives and 3 guns?
You don't have to make your big knife a kitchen one though. If you would rather pick your set of 3 as a back to nature deal that is fine.
Currently I am doing fine with 1 rifle but I really could use a shottie even a single shot and a rimfire.
For my unabomber shack set I would have my CS Norse hawk and CS truflight thrower with a modded edge and handle and very nice Rainwalker sheath(thanks Jeff). For the folder one of those 10$ china Buck twin trappers that are surprisingly good.
For the Unabomber gun collection a single shot break open 12 gauge and a Mosin. For the rinfire a 10/22 with a whole bunch of aftermarket mods.

Garand is an even better choice for us Canuks because it is the only semiauto that can leaglly hold more than 5 rounds(unless your Tyger and your work provides you a nice c7 with an elcan). 30-06 is a great round as well.
Another great canadian rifle is the norinco m305 which is a Chicom M14 semi auto clone that is only 400$ in Canada and is as well made as the Springfield versions. Our fellow dog Bramel has a great one.

I use the DFLE
Almost never use small knives so I´m used to do everything with a big knife. No problem for me

I can do everything I need to do with my DFLE and I have 3 of them.....so I guess I could squeak by with just three knives.....I wouldn't be happy, but I could do it.
But what will I do with the mountain of other Scrap Yard and Busse and Swamprat knives I have now????
When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

I was thinking I could buy a nice collection of chopper parts with my knife collection which is why I was trying to think of the least amount knives I could live with. It can be knives you own or not that is up to you but it should not be something that you would not realistically buy like an Anders Hogstrom custom for EDC.
I could get rid of all my Busse ,Rosarms and most of my Spydercos but not the antique military knives. They have so much meaning to me especially some of the WW1 and WW2 and the ones I got from Vic that I could never sell them although i may give them away to a museum someday.

how are you gonna peel your grapes with three massive blades? You guys peel your grapes up in New Jersey? That is just so wierd. Down here, we eat them in a very natural way, we batter them up and deep fry them.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
