Stay away from KSF they have far to many delactable spendy shiny things like barknivens ,cool slippies ,replica marble and Scagels ,the new falkniven PXL and about a million barkies and some neat leather goods especially the baldric kit for big choppers like the DFLE!

It looks like you got a bit of a Tan there Vic.

Just keep that Golok away from the fire barrel!

Oh you heard about that. Yeah, it will never look quite the same! I did manage to get a new one that was actually straight, thanks to Wendy at KSF. But it stays safe in its box. I am so glad it wasn't the DFLE's turn at chopping for the burn barrel that day. I sold my extra one to Chickenplucker. A burnt Res C handle would be hard to explain. I probably would have epoxied on a stag horn handle or something.

Oh yea, made me cringe just thinking about it.

If I dropped my DFLE into the fire, It'd be all I could do to keep from going in after it!

Although, I hope someday I do get an opportunity to re-handle a Scrapper, just for the fun of it.

Those Goloks are beautiful. How about a couple of pics with the modded Ontario choppers and the Goloks.

HD, you certainly have some nice toys....those Mule's are marvellous....I've used other peoples for carcass retrieval...great for going out lamping in as well for foxes...absolutely brilliant off road...do you manage to use it much? Aside from the garden?

Waiting for my Golok to turn up from KSF...plenty of work to do with it as well...my Garden is in dire need of a "haircut" everywhere.

After two days of picking up storm debris and burning it, I am sore and have several bug bites. If I had just used the hand cart or wheel barrow, it would have been much more strenuous and less productive. The bed hinges and dumps like a micro-dump truck. My girls used to drive it all over the island, including swamps and woods. They had a great time with the mule. Then civilization reared its ugly head in the form of county police officers. Unable to prevent burglaries or confront armed criminals, these SAS Wannabees bravely pounced on teens operating golf carts and utility vehilces (as they had been doing for years here). So now I just use it around the yard. I still see some kids driving theirs to the tennis courts, ball field, store, and the swimming area, but not as many as before the big crackdown. Our overlords and rulers 300 miles away in Atlanta have passed laws forbidding youths from operating such vehicles except on their own property. Blythe Island is less rural than it was when I moved here, but at least my girls had a taste of freedom when they were younger. As they grow older, they will have to live in the totalitarian police state the compulsive regulators have created for them.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Rules and Regs are shackling everyone these days....especially the "good" people...the "bad" people don't give a [censored] about them...never have...and they get produced to stop these people by anxious politicians whose only concern is to stay on the gravy train by "appearing" to be doing something.

So the "good" people either end up with less out of life or run the risk of being the only people the SAS Wannabees can catch! Been there...it's called Great Britian....or "Guns Forbidden Land" as those who try to enjoy shooting as a hobby call it.

Rural Police can have very little to do.....so Road Traffic laws are their bread and butter to justify their existance....where I shoot Deer in Scotland you have an 80% liklihood of being stopped for drink driving if out late....
a lot of the locals have lost their license....you don't need to be drunk...they even did some of them the next morning...talk about a "hated" profession with the locals...I always get a room above the Pub!! But Mules are parked in every field for miles round the Pub....if you drive home cross country your not on the "Highway".

Yes, forgive my off topic rant, but freedom is dear to me. My girls had a hard time conforming to the prison-like environment of the public schools. It was my fault. You know how the Scots are.

Back on topic, I still had the far back of the property to clear of storm debris. I decided to give the crash axe a little workout along with the BRKT golok. Lots of palm fronds down. They burn like gasoline.

My trusty little mule is such a workhorse.

This was all under water a few days ago. Even the fiddler crabs are confused.

Here is a big oak limb down. The palmettos here are over my head.

My golok made short work of the oak limb.

That's a pretty good load.

At least it is clear enough to get the mower in.

The Crash Axe rides good here.

Next, I'll dump this stuff, chop it up and burn it!
