if you could only have one knife and one pistol to take with you on your adventure in the urban environment, which would you carry and why?

for me, i would take my Scrapper 6 and my Glock26. the G26 is the best sub that glock makes IMO, because the 9x19mm ammo can be found virtually anywhere and the S6, well it speaks for itself.

Question: Is this post-apocalyptic, or is there still some approximation of order? In other words, is anybody going to arrest me if I stroll down the street with a rifle or shotgun. Because if I can only have one firearm...

Easy: G19. Its the only one I own anyways. Knifewise I would guess the Trap will make my choice. This combination is what I usually carry when taking a gun into town. Its civil and carries enough punch to get me out of trouble. A fixed blade I don't think is required, there is enough stuff available in a city if you need a crowbar, so a knife should be used for cutting only therefore my choice for a folder.

My wife is probably buying a G26, I recommended it because of size and weight. Whats the point of a big handgun if it is uncomfortable to carry. Odds are you are not going to have with you when in need. The G19 or the G26 are both compact and reasonably light. And if you really want lots of firepower then combine them with a 31 mag (looks kinda silly though).

My approach to shooting: compensate accuracy by using stacked mags.

Define Urban? Right now urban to me is any place with a stop light, cause my little town only has two stop signs. So if I were going downtown to the shopping mall (that's what we call our one little convience store) then I'd pack my Ruger Alaksan in .44 magnum and either my RMD or my HCLE.

If I'm going into the big city of Jacksonville then it'd be my Sig 229 and my Yard Keeper.

My G22 Glock in .40 S&W, and my DFLE. I should look dangerous enough to make most folks want to leave me alone! And both weapons will get the job done!!

I really like my dmdc. I feel that it is just the right size for about anything. As for guns, I'm definitely a Glock person. It would probably be my G32 or my G21.

Easy question, since I own these already:

Browning HiPower (.40 S&W), Yard Guard in a IWB sheath. I carry these daily anyway.
