Aren't those Mudder handles great?

Congrats on the blades!
Jeff on the subject of Mudder handles, the color is very misleading. Since you have made a ton of sheaths, what color sheath do you think best matches or contrasts with it.

I missed out on the BD from the store but my good buddy and fellow Dog BananaClip came to my rescue with an extra one he had picked up.

I am really stoked because I have had lousy luck at the last 4 bowls I tried for
and I love 154 stainless and thin slicers.

Thanks again BC I will try to pass on the favour to someone else when I get a chance.

Unsub, I'm relieved that you were able to get one after all.

I felt kinda guilty with that post I put up, showing what a fantastic job the BDLE did on those Salmon. I figured it might have had an influence on the number of people who decided to buy it after all!

So, what do you plan to do with your BDLE, Unsub? Obviously, you gotta get a pair of Jeffs' custom pants for it first; but what's next? Custom edge honing, a little foray into the flatlands and skin some prairie dogs.... what's the plan?

Well, I came home today, and there were two packages I had to pick up at the post office. My Muela Bolo, and the BDLE I bought from the bowl for my dad.

I tried to get my dad to hold his new BDLE and snap a pic of him with it, but he's even more camera shy than I am! LOL!

He's got #46, although he was hoping to get #50 (Year he was born), he's still liking it a lot. He's gonna take it to the Farmers' market back home in New Brunswick, and get the leather guy there to make him a sheath for it. For now, he's sticking in the front pocket of his fishing bag, and taking it with us to do some more fishing this weekend. We kind of struck out this past weekend, hooking a lot of them but landing none. It was still fun though.

I gotta say, this Muela Bolo isn't half bad. As typical of their knives, it's got a really good shaving edge, and also a nice forward weight for this design. I'm still praying for the day the yard releases a Bolo to compare against this one, though!

I thought I had missed out on Dog Bowl #2.
There was never any response to my order request email.

Apparently I got in.
When I went to pick up my mail, the Bird Dogs were there with the Muppies.

Fletch .... that Wisconsin deer skinner was me!

They are out of sight aren't they? I put a mean edge on mine when it arrived and since then I have dug weeds out of the lawn, gravel and garden dirt with it. I use it on all kitchen chores as I wear it daily and it STILL is as sharp as ever!

This 154CM holds a edge like INFI! I don't know what I need to do to dull the edge but I've tried everything around here.

I could skin a Wisconsin deer and its entire family!Wisconsin deer are the size of Montana Elk! They run around 400 pounds here.
The edge holds period.

So happy for you that you scored both models. I did too and it is one of the soundest decisions I have made in years. I love the Scrap Yard stainless.
The price was right, the performance is over the top, and in my humble opinion they look great!

The Bird looks like a CIA Fighter for covert ops! It just looks mean and very scary. It means business for sure. The Pup is a teardrop of a blade in comparison but equally as aggressive at edge holding ability.

Enjoy your new stainless Fletch I have since June and they still tickle me pink to use. Great blades from a great company.

Peace.

And Tyger, I saw that Bolo for sale from 007 on the "other forum" and I loved it then and I still do now!
Sweet deal on a great 440C Bolo!

Score for Tyger too!

Peace.

Thanks, POP; I really like it, and it makes a nice alternate to the DFLE for clearing bush in the woods.

I tried for a little while yesterday, and that extra weight on the front makes it nice to chop through limbs. Granted, it doesn't hold an edge as long as the DFLE, but sometimes it's nice to play with toys other than your favorite, know what I mean?
