so out of those who have a NMFBM on order i'm curious to see how many plan on actually using it and how many will safe queen it.
there is no right or wrong answer either.it doesnt matter either way.i'm just curious.

maybe you bought more than one and plan to use one and safe queen the other.

 i only bought one and plan on using it.i couldnt afford two,hell i can barely afford one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I havent decided yet. My wife will probably hang it over my desk with a framed debit card receipt as ransom. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

I cancelled an LE version as I expected it to be a bit too heavy.....1 hour to go before they came down I caved in and ordered a CG version...I will see which it will be once I handle it. It will be used....but maybe not carried...I see it more as a Bergan carry....I see my FFBM in the same way....a lighter DFLE or FSH I would prefer as a belt carry if I was walking a lot and wanted a chopper available....waiting for these as well.....once I have them I can decide.
My CS Kukri takes some beating as a carryable chopper....it is noticeable the weight difference between this and the FFBM....but the FFBM is more comfortable in the hand now I have modded the grips. You cannot do much to the Kraton on the CS and the chequering is a bit harsh.

I don't really "go out" to chop stuff....more a case of needing one when I need it....so weight counts.

Good idea...was the handle on the machete the same type of Kraton? Might give this a go....did you use a sander attachment or a stone attachment? Have you any pics as to how it turned out? Thanks for the tip...

I like Chickenplucker's response! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I have a CG version ordered, which I will use occasionally. My Busse Custom Bowie will be treated gently. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'd say use em ! If you ever decide to sell it the fact that it's used will not knock the value down much and you will have had all that fun as well !
What fun are they when they just sit in a drawer ?

Yeah....I agree Pitman...infact....having less knives and more cash to go places like Canada to use them....now that would make sense. Your last photo's remind me of Keilder or the Lakes over here but bigger and more wild. Just taking a month or so somewhere like that to chill out in and do some serious backpacking would be well worth some draw queens....hopefully soon!

Mine will be a user right from the start. Although, it probably won't see any heavy use for a while. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
