Looks like there's going to be a "Hack Bear Claw", a monster version of the Cub. Maybe... whatever. I will believe it when I see it. I am not interested in hearing about any more "You can't guess what is coming" flaunt and tease games. I am however, concerned about these "HACK" blades. Based on the extremeley high price / EXTREMELY LOW Bang for the Buck of the Bear Cub, I sense Jerry is charging about full custom shop prices for "HACK" blades. I don't buy and can't justify LE blades as they are TOO high priced. So, I sure as heck don't have any interest in Custom Shop priced stuff - especially if "HACK" blades are "Training" practice blades. - Marketed as such, tagged as such and should devalue as such. IMO - selling "HACK" / training / practice grind blades is a smart way to not waste material for Jerry. But, to me, I "CLEARLY" view something sold as practice/training blades should be "DISCOUNTED" and sold similarly to "SECONDS". I know Jerry refers to the "HACK's as having a "true custom nature", but I don't see it. And I don't see paying $150 shipped (or so) for a 5.5" oal nail picker. If Jerry sold a bunch of them, them more power to Jerry. But, if the Bear Cub is an indication of what larger HACK blades might cost, I am not interested in HACK stuff. If Jerry doesn't "Bring" real world knives at real world prices, I am not intersted. An SFNO with satin finish and CE edge at under $300 and you have my attention. .

Bet you don't get inducted into the HOG cult! I wonder if I can get a government bailout for my excessive knife spending? Just dreaming. I would go for the SFNO at $300 with even the bead blasted (Doublecut) finish.

Sending $8,000 - $10,000 for 60 - 70 different Busse and kin knives to Wauson over the years seems like a lot to me. But, I don't know if that makes me "Hog" worthy. Probably only about 12 or so of those were Busse (.... even if the "Cost" ratio is MUCH higher. ) However, if I could get a $700 BILLION dollar Bail-Out from the government for doing a POOR job running a business, paying myself Millions while loosing Billions for a company, I could buy whatever I want. If Enron Execs get hung, why not Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Execs???? I am glad to hear the FBI is investigating. If American tax-payers are going to pay for this, certain management should be stripped to their bare-naked asses of ALL funds and assets and they should have their wages garnered for LIFE!!! There is not enough accountability for "Certain" people in this country. Yeah, I know... better than most countries and all... But, far from perfect. I am NOT glad I get to help pay for mistakes made by these butt-heads as they go retire on their *@*%#^%^^ retirement packages and HIGH salaries they stashed.... .. Exactly. We only lost hundreds or thousands in our failed ventures. But it you screw up really big, so big that it threatens the entire economy, you can get millions and chumps like us will bail you out!

I ordered a Hack, because I felt like I would need it. I'm optimistic that I'll like it too. It was a little pricey for it's size, but if nothing else seems like a good investment, people rarely seem to loose money on INFI.
On another note, I'd love to get the opportunity to get my hands SFNO, some day...

I'm certain at this point that I'll be using my HACK and NMFBM both. At least for making pants to start with. I am anxious in seeing what the NMFBM is like as a chopper too. I have a feeling that the HACK might make a great necker though, if you like that kinda thing.
