that looks really good and is something i might try out since i find the straight handle on the CA to be a bit slippery.

i'm not allowed to own any of that stuff either but dan said i'm "BAD 2 THE BONE"

You are bad, Northern1, you are! LOL!

I meant to ask you, what is that black plastic thing in your pic? It's almost L-shaped, has 1 large circular hole, and 4 Hexagonal holes in it. It's below and to the left of your taser in the pic.

As for trying the handle wrap, I highly recommend it; after playing with the CA without the wrapping, and then after putting it on, I can honestly tell you I notice the grip feels so much more secure in the hand, not too mention comfortable as well. The only thing I noticed I had to do a little different than other wraps I've done, is that I had to be extra careful to keep tension on the cord as I was wrapping it around the handle,so that it didn't start to become a mess as I arrived at the bottom and started to slip the cord through the hole. Considering I only had to retry the handle wrap once, I think it came out pretty [censored] good.

Andy, I've always like your brass (or whatever alloy) knuckles. I'd have a few too, but they're illegal and hard to come by here in cali.

Thanks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Left to right they are: chrome coated steel, solid brass, solid aluminum, brass coated steel. You just need a friend or relative in another state to mail them to you. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

i love the sinker on a string and will be whipping a few of those up tomorrow.dont forget there's a million and one things you can throw in a sock that'll do the trick as well.

I painted it to minimize the lead exposure. Recently I had the idea of getting a non-toxic heavy metal like tungsten or something, and melting it down and pouring it into some large egg sinker molds to make large heavy non-toxic thumpers. Prob with a sock is if it’s too heavy it can rip through. But a lock and a rope or length of light chain works well too.

It’s an Impact Kerambit. Another harmless looking weapon is the Crook Hook. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Andy, those are some pretty cool defence tools on that link.

Thanks 338, I'm liking the collection as it's going, can't wait to add a Yard Bolo or Kukri to the mix, tho.

Thanks Jeff! I'm no leather master like yourself (I don't know of many that are, for that matter! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />), but I'm getting pretty good at "playing with string"! Eventually, I want to be talented enough to make a full basket hilt out of 550 cord; I think it'd look amazing if done with the right knot design.

Granted, this one is out of steel, but you get the idea of what the outer perimeter shape would look like with the one made from 550 cord. The real trick is to have it keep the proper form, without starting to look like a jumble of granny knots. Give me time, and I'll get there.

I swear I saw something similar when I walked into a porn shop last week. The device I saw looked the exact same, only it vibrated. The shop is actually very hip and modern, not seedy at all. I was a bit surprised as the place was filled with women...
