Jackel, you're a champ! That's a sweet review. So basically, when the coating rubs off, I'm going to have to take the same care as with the LE model? Sounds like the coating puts off more attentive maintenance for a time. Cool.

After every outside use, I clean and oil my knive, and put some mineral oil on the micarta handle, I also tried it on the G-10 handles, not the same, but still put a shine on it. I'm going to buy some of those Tuff Cloth and see how they do.

this is going to be a tough decission for me, I have always wanted a Tan Scrapyard, however I plan on using this one so the LE is the logical choice. Hopefully the price is low enough I can get both, if not I will end up getting the Tan one.

Also some Dogs prefer the full height grind of the LE models to the sabre grind of the CG models. All of the models in this offering look like full height flat grinds to me. Saber Grind, What tha....?

We won't know for sure until the actual specs are posted. It's almost impossible to tell from the pictures. Myself and some others have speculated that the CG models are sabre grinds based on past offerings.
I don't think anyone will be disappointed if all three models are full height flat grinds

satin finishes don't rust too easy, and they last longer and cut better! I say go for it. I think the coating will prevent rust (though the edge is still exposed) for a short time, and a coating may look more "cool" but I personally would go with a satin finish!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one feeling the compelling need to buy one of the SOD's in Tan. Ever since getting the Tan YK, I've started to like 'em. I'll still have to get one in LE though; just to match one up to the DFLE I've got.
