I know Tolly, I do, however have complete confidence that the timeframe will be fairly true this time around.

All the SOD knives will be shipped in the order that the order is received. Once the knife is ready we will process the credit cards and paypal. Your knife will be shipped 7-10 days after that. Shipping on this knife looks to be around 6 weeks out. If you pay by paypal early your knife will not be shipped any earlier, as I said before they will ship in the order that the orders are received.

Keep watching the knife will be launched VERY VERY SOON!!!

This was posted on October 8th.

So...

Six weeks from 10/8 will be 11/19, then however many days 'til it gets to your home. That puts it about the week of Thanksgiving... two or three weeks out from today.

What, you mean (by your estimation) they're shipping tomorrow?

Kenken, if you're looking for a new avatar, you should find a Full Metal Alchemist one!

Am I right in the time frame, that they won't start processing orders until after
the knife is taken off the website?

I don't think that was ever said. Renee said that shipping on this knife was 6 weeks out. That's it.

There is speculation that SYKCO will have another blade ready to put up on the site when the SOD is taken off. There is also speculation that this could be soon or much, much later.

There is speculation that there will be another blade available before Christmas, but again, this is only a guess because nothing has been confirmed.

All we know if what Dan has said in the "new business plan" thread and what Renee has said at the beginning of this thread.

For the most part.

FINALLY.... I put in my order for the SODs.

I was hoping to order one of each, but with the recent bout of house, truck, and car repairs I've been having, I'm lucky to have room on the card to get two of the Tans. I figure one will be a regular user in the bush, alongside its' daddy! LOL!

Congrats tyger - you'll be glad you got your order placed, instead of kicking yourself later for not doing so!

the beauty about this new business plan is that you can place the order and then you have time to save for it before they ding you

It wasn't a matter of did I want this knife or not... it was a matter of finding the cash for the purchase! LOL!

I had the alternator and starter in the truck die; real nice bit of luck there!

Then I had the sump pump in my basement die with no warning, sure enough, during a huge rainstorm. I came downstairs to find the basement flooded. Had to replace the pump, my carpeting, a whole lot of Gyroc, plaster and paint it back up all pretty like... just in time for the car to start acting up.

I had some work done on the car back in July, and apparently the mechanic reconnected some of the power cable harness wrong. It caused to much current to be flowing to the wrong areas, melted the sheathing off of the cable, damaged the alternator, melted the battery housing around the positive post, and damaged part of the firewall from electrical arcing.

I'm currently paying for the repairs out of my own pocket; rest assured, I'll be taking them to court for reimbursement. When I approached them about all this, with a statement from the new mechanics I had the car towed to, they said it wasn't their problem, that this was in no way related to the work they did. The statement even says that whoever last worked on the car, reconnected the cable wiring harness back up wrong! Gods, they say bad luck comes in threes, so hopefully this is the end of it!

I had some room on my credit card, so I ordered two of the Tans (One user, one "pretty queen"! LOL!). I seem to be suffering from the allure of the Tans.... next thing you know, all my knives will be ordered this way! I need to relieve some stress from the recent bad luck; sounds like I'll be doing some drinking of some Canadian beer during the nights, and doing some deer hunting during the weekend days! A venison steak would be really awesome this weekend to make me feel better!

tyger75,

Sorry to hear about your problems. I had car issues on both of mine over the
summer. New rad, water pump in one and wiring issues in the other.
Got the rad/water pump fixed in the one, started working on the wiring myself in
the other, then the computer died in the first one. It hasn't run since.

I could only afford one SOD so I ordered the black CG. It'll be a user no doubt
about it.
The SOD and my shotgun are the major purchases this year.

Cheers
DotD

I placed an order for a SOD myself a while back.(Black one)
My first Scrapyard knife.
(Actually,my first scrapyard, swamprat or busse combat)
I am really looking forward to seeing the quality of these knives.
Ive read like crazy and see all the praise.
I currently have a cs srk and recon tanto in carbonV,but
from all the reading, these knives will smoke what I have!
I think 6 weeks shipping was up yesterday! ;-)
